Accused women asks ex-husband to “renounce” pop star

In a shocking new update in the shooting case revolving pop star Rihanna, the accused woman had sent threatening emails to her own ex-husband to “renounce” her.

Ivanna Ortiz, the woman arrested for firing multiple shots at singer’s home, had allegedly sent emails to her ex-husband, Jed Valdez Sangalang, weeks before the incident, asking him to “confess that I’m better than her.” In the email she wrote,

“I need you renounce rihanna and confess that I’m better than her. Let it be done. You gotta let me know so that door can be closed.”

Ortiz is charged with attempted murder and assault after allegedly firing multiple rounds at the Love the Way You Lie singer’s house in Los Angeles. According to the reports, she was home at the time with her children, her partner A$AP Rocky was not with them. The reports suggest that 10 shots had been fired towards the residence from her car, and currently, Ivanna has been placed on a psychiatric hold in Florida.

Due to the incident, Ivanna’s ex is seeking full custody of their child. Initally Jed had tried to shield their son from the news of their mom’s shooting, some children at his school questioned him regarding it. Sangalang himself found out about the shooting the day after, which was Monday, 9th, when reporters and media outlets started flooding him with calls.

As for the shooter, Deputy Public Defender Jamarcus Bradford has been appointed to her, and her arraignment is scheduled for March 25.
