Days of our Lives is welcoming a new actress in the role of Rachel Black in light of Alice Halsey’s departure. Actress Lorelei Olivia Mote is taking over the part of Brady Black and Kristen DiMera’s daughter, and she’s coming to the screen very soon! And Halsey has something to say to her successor!

DAYS announced Mote’s casting as the new Rachel on the show’s official Instagram account. The daytime drama also provided a video interview with Mote, which can be seen in the post above.
The actress gave a brief “get to know you” interview with five fun facts about herself. “Hi, my name is Lorelei Olivia Moat,” the Salem newcomer began, “and I’m going to be taking over the role of Rachel Black.
“Here are 5 fun facts about myself,” she continued. “The first one is I am a gymnast, and I’ve actually been doing gymnastics since I was really young, and I still do it to this day with competitions, and I’m on a team. The second one is, I have been acting since I was 3 years old, and my first movie was…rated R, and I’ve never seen it before. Third one, I hate cheese.”
For her fourth and fifth fun facts, Mote added that she doesn’t have any siblings and that she does have both a dog and a cat!

Last, but not least, Mote received a lovely post from her predecessor in the role, Halsey. “Cool girl 😎 ❤️ Salem is lucky Lorelei !!!”
Halsey, as Soap Central reported, can be seen in the Netflix revival of Little House on the Prairie. She stars as Laura Ingalls, the role brought to life in the NBC series by Melissa Gilbert.
Mote’s first appearance as Rachel on Days of our Lives is set for Tuesday, March 17.
