Content creator Carolina Reyes, who was known online as Carol The Warrior, has passed away at the young age of 23.
The influencer died on Wednesday, March 11, as shared by her family in a statement,
“With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our warrior, Carol the Warrior. She was a warrior, a brilliant person, and a human being who never gave up in the face of any difficulty. We ask for your discretion, empathy, and love for her family and friends.”
The statement concluded, “Thank you for loving her, supporting her, showing her so much affection, and always welcoming her with open arms. We hope that all of us will bid her farewell.”
In October last year, Carolina shared with her 200,000-plus followers that she had been feeling pain in her body. Though initially she dismissed it by saying it was probably due to working out, slowly the pain started to increase, until she went to the hospital, where it was shared that there was fluid in her lungs.
At the time, the fluid had been drained, and she had kept her audience updated on her health. She reflected on her life in a post last December, stating that 2025 had been one of the most difficult times in her life but still expressing gratitude.
“This year showed me how strong I can be, even when I felt like I couldn’t anymore. And now, as I bid farewell to this year, I’m not just closing a cycle. I close a version of myself. Because even though it hurt, I’m ready to never give up again. 🙏🏽🤍💫 Thank you my God, thank you 2025 💪🏾.”
A wake was held for Carol the Warrior on Thursday in Cali, Colombia. Besides that, her social media was flooded with condolences from her fans.
