Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless
We’ve been wondering why Victor (Eric Braeden) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) haven’t come face-to-face lately on The Young and the Restless. As we’ve pointed out, Victor’s not getting what he wants by trying to coerce Billy (Jason Thompson) and Cane (Billy Flynn) into retrieving his assets. Phyllis is the one with the power. Still, it wasn’t Victor who summoned Phyllis to his ranch in today’s show. She came to see him on her own. The mind games began right away with Victor telling Phyllis that he’d been expecting her. Phyllis got right to the point, asking if Victor had kidnapped Jack, and then announced that if Victor were going to negotiate with anyone, it’d be her! Victor asked Phyllis if she thought he was bluffing about him hurting Jack. Phyllis displayed lots of bravado when she informed Cane that Victor would never hurt Lily (Christel Khalil), but, suddenly, sitting across from the mogul, Phyllis wasn’t so sure what Victor was capable of doing. Phyllis conceded that Jack has been an important part of my life. “You know, he’s a good man. Let’s make a deal,” Phyllis said, hastening to offer up Chancellor Industries if Jack were returned safely. Victor’s the one who’s been stripped of his businesses, but you’d never know it the way he chuckled at Phyllis. The fascinating cat-and-mouse game between the two continued until Phyllis agreed to have papers drawn up that would give Chancellor Industries back to Victor. The scenes between Phyllis and Victor are electric. Which power player is going to come out on top? We’re tuning in tomorrow to find out!
