The Young and the Restless character Summer Newman has a new beau in Italy, where she’s currently living. Her former portrayer, Hunter King, has a new husband, having married Chris Copier, a director/producer.
The Young and the Restless, Hunter King, I do, I do
“Long ago, (on Valentine’s Day) we said I do in front of the realm (our families),” King posted on Instagram. “We celebrated (at Medieval Times) well into the night (9 pm). The end⚔️🏰 @chriscope88 📸: @stevenpiet.”
“Celebrating our legal wedding with our immediate families at Medieval Times felt like the perfect way to kick things off before our destination wedding later this year,” King shared in an exclusive statement to Just Jared. “Same-day marriage, a tiki bar, and Medieval Times… honestly, a 10 out of 10 way to start married life.”
According to Just Jared, the newlyweds are planning at a larger wedding ceremony later this (no pun intended) summer at an international location. Last month’s ceremony was for immediate family and friends. King’s sisters, Joey King and Kelli King, were also married at the same venue.
The bride, groom, and attendees dressed up in costumes in honor of the Medieval theme.
King and Copier met in 2022 on the set of the independent movie Give Me Your Eyes, which tells the story of an agoraphobic young woman who must remotely aid a mysterious girl being pursued by a pair of unstoppable killers.
King played Jael Jones in the movie. He was the film’s first assistant director. A year later, they began dating. The couple has since worked together on other projects, including Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story on Hallmark. King played Alana Higman in that project; Tyler Hynes portrayed Derrick Taylor.
