“I’m going to be so honest” Gavin Casalegno shares disappointing update about The Summer I Turned Pretty movie

If you’re hoping for quick progress on the The Summer I Turned Pretty movie, you may need to temper your expectations a little, as actor Gavin Casalegno, who plays Jeremiah Fisher on the show, has revealed that the long-anticipated project is still in very early stages.

In a chat with People during the Elle Actors Rising event in Los Angeles,he spoke about how he has yet to receive a script for the project and has no idea where the development has reached as of now as he stated,

“I’m going to be so honest, I don’t even have a script. So I don’t even know when we’re filming. It’s going to be like game time. Like Jenny Han calling me up and [being] like, ‘Hey, by the way, you’re going to be on a plane in a week.’ So, we’ll see what happens.”

He did, however, add a sliver of hope as he continued that among the fan theories about the film, he’s sure that one of them is correct. As for which one it is, seems like we’ll have to wait quite some time before knowing that.

Jeremiah’s story, meanwhile, ended with the character beginning a new relationship with Denise after spending months living in Boston. Whether that romance will play a role in the upcoming film remains unclear.
