Josslyn approached Carly’s attic, completely unaware of what she’d soon see. With her gun drawn, Josslyn told the person to free and put their hands into the air. Valentin complied with her orders and turned around slowly, revealing himself to her.

Valentin explained that he was unarmed and didn’t pose a threat. He asked if he could lower his hands, but she refused. Valentin joked about Josslyn being grown up, which led her to aggressively take him down. Josslyn heard someone opening the attic door, so she pulled her gun out. Unfortunately for Josslyn, it was Carly, and her cover was blown.

Carly shut the door behind her and asked if Josslyn planned to shoot her own mother. She quickly put together the pieces that clearly showed Carly knew Valentin was there. Not only was she aware that Valentin was in her attic, but Carly confirmed that he’d been there the entire time.

Josslyn begged Carly to explain why, and she replied, “Valentin is the only way I get you out of the WSB, Josslyn. Or should I call you Agent Jacks?” Josslyn was mind-boggled that Carly’s plan to extract her from the WSB involved harboring a fugitive like Valentin. Carly had no remorse for her actions.

Carly refused to allow Josslyn to stay in the WSB. She felt she needed to do whatever it took to save Josslyn from her current situation. Josslyn reminded her that aiding Valentin could land her a prison sentence of over two decades. Carly thought that it was worth it. Even if Josslyn didn’t think Carly understood the gravity of her actions.

Valentin asked to be untied, but Josslyn ignored him and hurried her mother down the stairs. Josslyn ran down the laundry list of crimes Carly had committed by aligning herself with Valentin. Josslyn claimed that she chose to become a WSB agent, which she realized wasn’t news to Carly.

Carly confessed that she’d known the truth for months, but she chose to remain silent. Josslyn defended herself as an adult, and she wasn’t allowed to tell anyone. Josslyn figured that Jason was the one who spilled the beans, unwilling to lie to her face.

Carly accused Josslyn of lying the entire time. Everything over the past year had been a total fabrication. Josslyn had no choice but to keep it from Carly. She tried to live her normal life and live in secret, and despite what Carly thought, joining was her choice.

Carly didn’t believe Josslyn, and she wanted to know why she allowed Jack to recruit her. She was furious with Jack, but she considered him to be a liar. Josslyn couldn’t keep her secret anymore. She had to come clean to her mother.

Josslyn explained that she found proof that Cyrus killed Dex, and she hunted him down. The moment Cyrus tried to kill her, she did what she needed to do and ended his life first. Josslyn admitted that although Cyrus was the first person that she killed, there had since been more.

Josslyn revealed that Jack led her to Cyrus, and Carly thought it sounded like a setup. She asked her daughter what she possibly could need to remain in the WSB if she avenged Dex’s death. Josslyn completely lost it and told Carly that she wanted to take down Sonny and anyone like him.

Josslyn cited Morgan as an example of how Sonny’s lifestyle gets the people closest to him killed. She blamed Sonny for his death. Josslyn listed all of the ways that Sonny’s children were killed or nearly murdered because of their association with Sonny. She gave Carly 24 hours to get Valentin out of her home before she was forced to do it herself.

Upstairs, Valentin freed himself, realizing that Josslyn could send him back to prison. He came downstairs and put a hand on Carly’s shoulder. It was a sign that their connection may have deepened.

Britt told Elizabeth that she was probably right about being hit hard by the death of her patient. It had been a long time since she lost one, and it never got easier. Elizabeth reassured her that the patients they do save are worth the sadness of the ones they lost.

Elizabeth gave a positive update about Delilah’s baby, despite arriving two months early. She praised Britt for pulling off a miracle, even if the mother’s life was lost. Britt complimented Elizabeth for her composure during the emergency with Delilah. She commanded everything with such grace under pressure.

Britt had never seen anyone perform as well as Elizabeth. She did so while navigating empathy and humanity better than anyone else. Even though Britt found Elizabeth insufferable on a regular basis, she recognized her talent.

To Elizabeth’s surprise, Britt asked her how she was holding up after Delilah’s death. As a mother, it must’ve been difficult to witness something like that. And it was. It was awful. Elizabeth assumed that it must have been awful for Britt as well, and for the same reason.

Jack stopped by Jason’s office for an unofficial visit. It was off-the-record intel, and he sought answers about Cullum. Jason confirmed that he’d spoken to Cullum in Jack’s office, prompting Jack to request every detail of their conversation.

Jason internally recalled his conversation with Britt and how Cullum posed a risk to his life. He asked Jack to seek answers from Cullum himself, but Jack was concerned at how dangerous he truly was. Jack knew Cullum had an agenda and was worried about Josslyn’s safety.

Jack didn’t want Cullum to uncover that Josslyn was an agent, and since Jason cared about her, he needed his help. Jack reminded them that he had saved Carly’s life, which was prime proof that he could be trusted. He brought up the audio recording of Carly leading Sonny’s business, which kept Jason under the FBI’s control for two years.

Jason told Jack that Cullum was more interested in Britt and whatever her work was. Jack asked Jason to keep him informed if Cullum ever reached out again. Jason agreed to do so. After Jack left, Britt showed up to see Jason. She told him about the mother who died, and he recalled how Sam’s baby died in a similar manner.

Chase asked Brook Lynn to take a deep breath and calm down. She was struggling to fill out the hospital forms about Delilah and her baby. They didn’t know much about her, other than she fought for her child. Delilah’s final act on Earth was trying to do right by her baby.

Chase and Brook Lynn were asked by Nathan if they’d noticed anything suspicious from their interactions with Delilah. Chase suggested that the empty purse they recovered from the scene could fill in some of the gaps. Later on, they visited the baby, devastated that she’d be forced to grow up without a mother.

Felicia was floored to see Nathan and Lulu kissing so openly in the hospital. Felicia immediately confronted Lulu, demanding to know why she had caught her kissing her best friend’s husband. Lulu tried to downplay whatever she thought Felicia saw, but Maxie’s mother wanted to know how long she and Nathan had been carrying on.

Lulu confirmed that it was a new connection, and no physical contact happened until very recently. Felicia was relieved to hear that and told Lulu that her actions were highly inappropriate. Maxie only recently got out of a coma, and it was almost highly probable that she’d want to reunite with Nathan instead of Spinelli.

Felicia asked Lulu whether Maxie’s choice of Spinelli somehow excused her actions. She wanted Lulu to understand that Maxie’s choice of Spinelli didn’t magically erase the feelings she had for Nathan. One did not cancel the other.

If Maxie and Nathan had moved on from each other, Lulu believed it opened the door. Felicia posed the most important question of all. If Maxie had chosen to be with Nathan, what would Lulu have done? Would she have snuck around behind Maxie’s back?

Sonny asked Justine if she was looking for something, and she pointed out that she had lost an earring. Sonny explained that when he had Charlie’s Pub restored, he added an apartment to it. Although it was meant for Kristina, it proved to be helpful to Sonny as well.

Sonny let Justine know that people wouldn’t be coming in and out, since Charlie’s wouldn’t reopen for a few weeks. Justine thought that was for the best, since it could damage both their lives if anyone found out they had spent the night together.
