Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P for Thursday, March 5th:
Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on Beyond the Gates
Derek wanting absolutely nothing to do with Leslie hasn’t really panned out too well so far, and today, Derek was approached to serve as the spokesperson for the free clinic at a press announcement. Derek had a proviso, though, and that was that Chief of Staff, Lia Whitmore, had to sign off on having a formal agreement with Garland Memorial Hospital to provide a rotation of doctors and relevant staff as volunteers at the free clinic, not sure how she can sign off on giving away hours of the doctor’s time, for example, but ok.
This was a necessary plot point, though I think, how else would whoever is in charge of the plasma ring at the hospital (I know we haven’t found out if that’s even what is happening, but how could it not?) get their claws into the free clinic? And that’s where I think we’ll get the most movement, once the operation expands beyond what it currently is. Will Derek be the hero who unravels the mystery? And right at the end of todays episode, Joey was talking about distribution by trucks with randy. That’s something that sticks out. Maybe Joey has his paws in this as well? Even though he claims not to know who the Impaler is.
