Who are Gonzalo Hevia Bailleres’ parents? Belinda reportedly mentioned the billionaire heir’s mother in a song following a breakup

Mexican tech businessman Gonzalo Hevia Bailleres is rumored to be dating English actress-activist Emma Watson. They were reportedly spotted at a wedding in Mexico last month, according to DeuxMoi. On March 4, Spanish-language publication Quien claimed the Harry Potter star was seemingly seen getting cosy with Bailleres at the airport.

In the wake of the latest rumors, it is noteworthy that Gonzalo Hevia Bailleres was previously in a relationship with Spanish-born Mexican singer, songwriter, and actress Belinda.

They were reportedly together from late 2022 to early 2024 and met at the opening of an El Palacio de Hierro store in Coyocan, Mexico City. Throughout 2023, the former couple were seen making multiple public appearances, including at a restaurant in Los Angeles, USA.

Following their breakup, Belinda released a diss track titled Heterocromia seemingly aimed at Gonzalo Hevia Bailleres. In it, she called out her ex’s elite roots and claimed he didn’t introduce her to his mother because he didn’t want to upset her.

Gonzalo’s parents are Teresa “Tere” Bailleres Gual and Gonzalo Hevia Sr.

According to Diario de Yucatan, Belinda’s lyrics from Heterocromia referencing Tere went as follows:

“Thank God I never met my ex-mother-in-law, I’m not from a high social class, and she gets upset easily. I want to live my life my way and let people say what they want.”

Neither Emma Watson nor Gonzalo Hevia Bailleres has confirmed their romance, as of writing.

All about Gonzalo Hevia Bailleres’ parents

Teresa “Tere” Bailleres Gual was named after her mother and is the only daughter of Alberto Bailleres Gonzalez and Maria Teresa Gual. They are known as a power couple of Mexico who once ran the mining company, Industrias Penoles, aka The Penoles Mining Group.

They also own two high-end Mexican department stores, including Grupo Bal and El Palacio de Hierro.

The Bailleres family reportedly has an estimated net worth between $6 billion and $19 billion, according to Forbes. This makes them the fourth richest family in Mexico and the tenth richest in Latin America.

Gonzalo Hevia Bailleres’ mother is one of the board of directors of Grupo El Palacio de Hierro alongside her six older brothers, Alberto Jr, Alejandro, Juan Pablo, Raul, Xavier, and Mauricio. Her father referred to her as the “Jewel of the Crown” in a 2001 interview with Culver.

Additionally, Tere Bailleres Gual is a member of the Mexican Cultural Association and the Alberto Bailleres Foundation.

She shares two children, son Gonzalo Jr and daughter Tamara, with her husband and Mexican business tycoon Gonzalo Hevia Sr. While not much is known about Tamara or her father, her brother is the founder and CEO of the AI-based company overseeing mobility and logistics called Lok.

Gonzalo Hevia Bailleres is also involved with the tech-based delivery company Chazki and the Mexican glass bottle/ beverage corporation, Coca-Cola Femsa.

What did Belinda say in her song ‘Heterocromia’?

Heterocromia was the lead single of Belinda’s fifth studio album Indomita, which came out in June 2025. The song’s title refers to “heterochromia,” a condition where a person has differently-coloured irises. As per Yucatan reports, Gonzalo Hevia Bailleres has the condition.

“How ironic, you deceived me with your heterochromia/ Two people, one same face/ So high and mighty, and with such an empty mind,” the lyrics go.

In another part, it says:

“You’re old money, they call you Bunny/ And I’ll wipe my b**ty with your palace.”

Here, the word “Palace” or “Palacio” was seemingly a reference to the Bailleres family-owned El Palacio de Hierro.

Additionally, Belinda’s diss track accused Gonzalo Hevia Bailleres of not introducing her to his family, including his mother, as she didn’t come from a similar wealthy background.

The album also comprises the diss track, Cactus, earlier released in 2024, which is reportedly directed at Belinda’s other ex, Christian Nodal.
