ALONG with her sleek bob, orange foundation and pale pink lips, Claudia Winkleman is most well-known for her heavy black eyeliner.
But it can be a nightmare to try and copy the look at home – as the wrong choice of liner can leave you with unfortunate ‘panda eyes’.
However, Claudia’s long-term make-up artist has revealed the product she uses to create The Traitors’ host’s iconic look, and it definitely won’t break the bank.
Lucy Gibson took to Instagram to share the budget buy, as she said she’s been using it on Claudia since the first season of the BBC show, and it’s never failed her.
“I have to shout out this absolute essential,” she wrote on her Stories.
“Every look I’ve done since season 1, this is the go to eyeliner – the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl in Black.”

Lucy added that while she’s tried other liners in the past, the Rimmel one – which you can buy from Superdrug for £4.99 – remains her go-to.
“Jet black, blendable and stays put in the waterline and beneath the eye,” she said.
It also survives in the Scottish weather – as the show is filmed at Ardross Castle, about 30 miles north of Inverness.
Claudia previously described her eye look as a cross between “slept in a skip” and “mature French student”.
“The real love of my life is black eyeliner,” she told Stylist magazine.
“I’m a massive believer in more is more.
“It’s a bit like butter and cooking, you never eat a brioche or a risotto going ‘Do you know what, I wish it wasn’t quite so creamy, I wish it was less tasty.’
“Subtle eye-liner is not for me. The perfect look is, ‘I put this on yesterday and slept in it, possibly with a rock star’.”
Her other go-to make-up products include Mac’s Fleshpot lipstick, and Lancome’s Flash Bronzer.
And as well as having the seal of approval from Claudia and her make-up artist, the Rimmel eyeliner also has thousands of positive reviews on the Superdrug website.
“I suffer from very runny eyes due to hay fever and I love swimming – these eyeliners stay put whatever you do but still come off with cleanser,” one wrote.
“Couldn’t live without them.”
How does The Traitors work and who hosts it?
The Traitors first launched in the UK in 2022, after the Dutch format was acquired by the BBC.
Claudia Winkleman is the show’s host, and has now hosted all three series to date.
How does it work?
It is a reality game show that involves 22 contestants, and some of them are chosen to be The Traitors.
The Traitors sees a group of contestants taking part in “the ultimate game of truth and deception”.
The group of contestants are competing for the chance to walk away with a huge cash prize.
While navigating through a series of challenges, the team are also tasked with figuring out who the Traitors are in the group (usually three contestants).
Each night, the Traitors gather to “eliminate” one of the Faithful, removing them from the competition
Meanwhile, the traitors can be “banished” if they’re successfully outed as a traitor by a faithful.
The winners of the show are either the Traitor who remains undetected or the Faithfuls if they successfully eliminate all the Traitors.
The prize sees the winner could get £120K.
