Shifting Gears Season 2 Episode 10 brings life to yet another humor-filled episode. The storyline of this episode mainly focuses on the reviews Riley’s coffee shop gets along with the friends that Matt makes. However, it must be noted that the performance of the cast members leaves a lasting impact, making a permanent place in the hearts of the viewers for this series.

1) Tim Allen as Matt Parker


Tim Allen’s Matt Parker comes across an old acquaintance in this episode. From the beginning of this episode, Matt’s one-liners while having conversations with his daughter and grandchildren add to the overall humor of this series.
His interaction with Carter, while he asks him to accompany him for a mini golf session, depicts the ease with which Tim Allen handles his characters in Shifting Gears Season 2. 2) Kat Dennings as Riley Parker


Kat Dennings’s performance as Riley as she navigates through the new challenge of getting a negative for her outlet adds to the humor of the series. Though Riley gets many positive reviews, one negative review is enough to rattle her confidence. After she comes across Pete Holtermann, she initially thinks he is there to serve her some legal papers; however, she soon realizes that he is her father’s acquaintance.
Kat Dennings always brings forth a distinct authenticity through her performances by completely embodying her roles. Her versatility through the multiple projects that she took on through the years, such as Raising Dad, 2 Broke Girls, Dollface, etc are a proof of her acting prowess.
3) Maxwell Simkins as Carter


Maxwell Simkins’s Carter depicts the hilarious character of Carter. Carter’s nature as he tries to make jokes yet fails miserably while speaking with Matt in this episode becomes a memorable part. Maxwell Simkins’s performance as Carter is truly worth appreciating.
The subtle expressions he makes to bring life to Carter’s character become the heart of the episode. Some of Maxwell Simkins’s other projects are The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, Bizaardvark, etc.
4) Barrett Margolis as Georgia


In this episode of Sifting Gears, Barrett Margolis’ Georgia becomes the first person to inform Riley about the five-star reviews that her coffee shop is getting. While Riley gets disheartened about the one negative review for her shop, Georgia cheers her up.
It cannot be denied that Georgia, despite being just a child, is able to understand the feelings of other people quite well. This aspect of Georgia’s character makes her a fan favorite of the viewers.
5) Tuc Watkins as Pete Holtermann


Tuc Watkins’ Pete becomes a crucial part of this episode of the series. Pete arrives at Riley’s coffee shop and quickly gets close to her with his friendly nature. He then reveals that he knows Matt. They share a heart-to-heart conversation as Matt begins to recount all the accomplishments that Pete received while he was younger.
Pete also tells Matt about his marriage to Damien. He is also appreciative of the positive reaction that Matt gives. Tuc Watkins’ other notable projects are The Great North, Where the Bears Are, etc.
