Bilt Card 2.0 offers rewards on rent and mortgage

Company launches three credit cards offering rewards on mortgage payments for first time with 10% introductory APR and welcome bonuses up to 50,000 points

Bilt launched Bilt Card 2.0 on Tuesday, a suite of three credit cards that, for the first time, extend rewards to homeowners with the ability to earn points on mortgage payments. Every new cardholder receives a 10% introductory APR on new eligible purchases for 12 months across all three cards, subject to terms and credit approval.

The three Bilt Card 2.0 options, powered in partnership with Cardless, Fidem Financial and Column N.A., deliver rewards on rent, mortgage and everything else, rewarding members across 5.5 million homes. Ankur Jain, founder and CEO of Bilt, said this is a win for renters, homeowners and Americans. He added the company is not just launching three new cards but rewarding the way people actually live.

Three card options available

The Bilt Palladium Card carries a $495 annual fee and offers the most premium benefits. The card earns 2 points on everyday spend and 4% back in Bilt Cash, with a 50,000 point signup bonus plus Gold Status after qualifying spend. The card includes $300 in Bilt Cash on account opening and $600 in annual credits. Additional benefits include Priority Pass access and no foreign transaction fees.

The Bilt Obsidian Card has a $95 annual fee with benefits designed for everyday value. The card earns 3 points per dollar spent on dining or grocery up to $25,000 per year, 2 points on travel and 1 point on all other everyday spend. The card also earns 4% back in Bilt Cash and includes $100 in annual Bilt Travel Hotel credits. Cardholders receive $200 in Bilt Cash on account opening.

The Bilt Blue Card has no annual fee and earns 1 point on everyday spend and 4% back in Bilt Cash. Cardholders receive $100 in Bilt Cash on account opening with no foreign transaction fees.

Housing payments unlock rewards

All three Bilt Cards let cardholders pay rent and mortgage with no transaction fee. There is no preset spending limit on housing payments. Members can pay rent or mortgage without using their credit line and earn across multiple homes with no annual housing points cap.

Everyday spend fuels how many points cardholders can unlock on housing payments. For every $30 in Bilt Cash earned, cardholders can unlock 1,000 Bilt Points when making rent or mortgage payments. For example, if rent is $2,000 and a cardholder has $60 of Bilt Cash, they can convert the Bilt Cash into 2,000 points on that payment with no transaction fee.

Points offer high redemption value

Bilt Rewards points are valued at 2.2 cents each according to The Points Guy’s January 2026 valuations, making them the most valuable transferable rewards currency available. Bilt Rewards points transfer 1 to 1 to programs like Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards, United MileagePlus and World of Hyatt. These partners consistently offer high value redemptions.

Transferring Bilt points to World of Hyatt can unlock substantial value, with as few as 63,000 points enough for a three night stay at properties like the beachfront Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa on some dates. The closest everyday earning comparison among premium cards is the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, which earns at least 2 points per dollar spent on all purchases. However, Capital One miles are currently valued at 1.85 cents each, giving the Bilt Palladium a clear edge on everyday spending.

Current cardholders can transition

Current Bilt cardholders can select one of the three new cards by January 30, 2026 to ensure a seamless transition. Members keep the same card number, so subscriptions and autopay continue uninterrupted. New cards arrive by February 6 for immediate use on February 7.

Bilt was originally launched in 2019 to help young Americans build credit on rent payments and create a clearer path to homeownership. It is now a $10.75 billion private company headquartered in New York City with a housing membership platform available in approximately one in four apartment buildings nationwide.
