Mickey Haller faces his most complicated case in the first trailer for The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 is going to be released on Netflix on February 5, 2026, and the first trailer for the upcoming season shows Mickey Haller facing his most complicated case yet. While he has fought and won several difficult cases, this time things are much more complicated because he is the one who has to prove his innocence.

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 ended with the dead body of Sam Scales being discovered in the trunk of Mickey’s car, which made him the prime suspect. But Mickey did not murder his former client, and in Season 4, we’ll see him fight his hardest to prove his innocence to not only save himself from a wrongful sentence but also save his firm.

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 trailer presents the most difficult case of Mickey’s life

The trailer for The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 begins with Mickey awaiting trial in prison, and he is determined to prove his innocence as we see him saying,

“Every murder case is like a tree, and it’s the prosecutor’s job to feed and water that tree. I’m going to cut that tree down to the ground.”

But we also soon see that things are easier said than done. Luckily, both his ex-wives and fellow lawyers, Maggie and Becky, are going to help him with his case. Dana Berg, who is known for being a tough prosecutor, will do her best to put Mickey away in prison, and some of Mickey’s enemies will help her as well. But the trailer shows Mickey being smart, trying to figure out what Sam was up to, because that will most likely lead to his real killer, who, by the way, is still at large.

As the case gets more complicated, the prosecution begins to play dirty, and his search gets searched, Mickey’s confidence falters, which will allow us to see him more vulnerable in The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4. Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez, co-showrunners of the show, spoke about the upcoming season with Tudum, saying,

“As proud of the first three seasons as we are, we can say without hesitation that Season 4 is our most personal and emotional season yet,”

They also said,

“It presents the biggest stakes and the biggest challenge for Mickey and his team because now Mickey’s the client.”

The stakes are bigger than ever in Season 4, and Mickey will not only have to prove his innocence but also find the real killer who is doing his best to frame him. The logline of The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4, according to the trailer’s YouTube description, is,

“On trial for a murder he didn’t commit, Mickey must face a relentless DA as he fights to prove his innocence, expose the real killer and save his firm.”
