Fallout Season 2 has teased one of the most powerful weapons from the game that will make an appearance on the show soon, and this could change the trajectory of the show forever. As the Ghoul is revealing his involvement with the apocalypse, the show is taking a more intense turn as we’re introduced to newer plotlines. One of these, is a weapon that is essential and crucial to where the show could go from here.
In previous episodes, Vault-Tec’s men talked about a second phase for the company’s Future Enterprise Ventures, which they called “very important” to the experiment that is happening in the vaults. Later on, we see Norm discovering exactly what the phase is about- the Forced Evolutionary Virus (or FEV), a name that fans of the game will already be familiar with.
The FEV is a megavirus that was created by West Tek and can change the DNA of living creatures. The green liquid is stored inside giant vats in aerosol form and is unaffected by radiation, which means it’s pretty much able to survive in radioactive areas. The virus is often used to turn people into super mutants and can help them develop super abilities.
It would certainly be interesting to see what turn the show takes with the involvement of this virus, and how it would affect the trajectory further. But for fans of the game, who are already familiar with the virus, if anything, things will get even more dangerous now.
