Apple TV has officially announced the release date for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 and the first teaser trailer for the upcoming season. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 will premiere on Apple TV on February 27, and will have ten episodes, which will be released weekly until May 1, 2026. While viewers got to see Kong in Season 1, Season 2 will feature new monsters and a new Titan, Titan X.
Both the main characters of the show and viewers are familiar with Kong and Godzilla. However, as the teaser trailer shows, the new monster they’ll be dealing with in Season 2 is something else. It’s a Titan we’re yet to meet, and possibly the most formidable yet.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 teaser trailer
The Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 trailer opens with Lee Shaw saying that the world has changed, and that whatever the new Titan is, it’s not Kong. Cate then points out that it’s not Godzilla either.
We soon learn that it’s something bigger that came to our world because a rift was opened. Hiroshi then admits that they made a mistake, and we get a glimpse of the monster and just how intense it looks on screen.
Apple TV described Titan X in their press release, saying,
Titan X isn’t just another monster; it’s a living cataclysm. When its massive bioluminescent form breaks the surface of the ocean, the world seems to hold its breath. In “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” season two, Titan X stands at the center of the mystery — an ancient force emerging from the deep, its purpose uncertain, its power unmatched, its awe and terror in equal measure.
