Saudi boxing chief posts savage Man Utd takeover message immediately after Ruben Amorim’s sacking

SAUDI boxing chief Turki Alashikh is seemingly pleased to see the back of Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.

And he’s suggested the Glazers should be next.

Man United sacked Amorim on Monday morning following the Portuguese manager’s incredible rant after the 1-1 draw with Leeds.

His Excellency wasted little time giving his opinion by taking to X.

He said: “Praise be to God … finally … may the Glazer [family] follow soon.”

Alashikh has remained interested in Man United’s ownership, though it’s unclear whether the boxing kingpin is a fan of them or not.

Back in October of last year, Alashikh posted more tweets about United’s ownership.

“The best news I heard today is that Manchester United is now in an advanced stage of completing a deal to sell to a new investor.

“I hope he’s better than the previous owners.”

The Glazer family remains unpopular to this day, but Jim Radcliffe and INEOS are hardly winning over hearts either.

Man United parted company with Amorim after his relationship with director of football Jason Wilcox broke down.

Amorim launched into a tirade during his post-match press conference following the 1-1 draw with Leeds.

Amorim said: “I came here to be the manager of Manchester United, not to be the coach of Manchester United. And that is clear.

“I know that my name is not Tuchel, it’s not Conte, it’s not Mourinho, but I’m the manager of Manchester United.

“And it’s going to be like this for 18 months, or when the board decides to change.”

Well, the board decided to change 24 hours later, not 18 months.

Whilst Alashikh has stated he is not in contention to invest or takeover at Man United, he remains the top of the mountain in boxing right now.

He has made it clear he intends to make Anthony Joshua versus Tyson Fury later on this year, providing AJ returns to the sport after the deaths of his close friends in Nigeria.
