STAIN PAIN

The 35p buy you can use on all festive stains – from red wine to cranberry sauce

For his first step, the expert recommends mixing anywhere from 114g to 136g of baking soda with water to create a paste.

“Spread the paste all over the bottom of the oven, the side walls, and the inside of the glass oven door, avoiding the heating elements,” he told Real Simple.

He recommended leaving the paste to sit for a minimum of two hours or overnight.

Then he sprayed it with a diluted vinegar solution, meausring half water and half white vinegar.

“The acid in the vinegar will react with the baking soda, causing it to foam,” Parry explained.

“This action helps to remove the burnt-on food stains from the oven.”

Finally, he wiped the solution after leaving it to sit for 30 minutes, using a rubber spatula and a rag to remove the baking soda mixture before finishing with a wipe from a damp cloth.

    Salt

Menahile Nathan Ripley, who owns Maid Just Right, suggested using salt as a quick, cheap, and easy way to clean an oven.

This method proves especially great for cleaning up quick spills.

“While you’re baking, sometimes there might be leaks from the food you’re preparing on the oven’s surface,” the pro explained.

“In that case, quickly open the oven and sprinkle some salt on the leak.

“After the oven has cooled, you’ll have an easier time removing that stain.”

    Lemon

Or you can use lemons to scrub the surface of your oven, easily lifting any stubborn stains.

After cutting your lemon is half, add baking soda to the fleshy part, and use it like a sponge to scrub stains and spots.

The lemon’s acid will mix with the baking soda to naturally clean stuck-on grease and dirt.

    Steam

And one of the top ways to clean an oven is by simply using the power of steam.

You can start by boiling a third of a pot of water on the sove and adding an equal amount of white vinegar once it starts boiling, allowing it to boil for another 30 seconds.

Then, remove the pot and place it inside your oven for anywhere between 45 and 60 minutes.

Finally, wipre the inside of your oven clean with a soapy cloth, with no scrubbing needed.

Similarly, you can fill your pan with water and add the juice of two lemons, or two lemon halves.

Put the pan in the oven and turn it on to 250 degrees, allowing the steam to loosen the grime and grease inside your oven before giving it time to cool and wiping down.

    Magic Eraser

Or you can use a Magic Eraser to quickly clean your oven door, and even outsource the task to your kids.

Simply follow the product instructions and wipe your oven door clean.
