A MUM has hit back at trolls who claim she is setting her daughter up to be a teen mum.
Yajaira revealed that she let her 14-year-old daughter, Leylanie, and her boyfriend, Jonathan, have sleepovers but kept a close eye on them.
Speaking to Love Don’t Judge, Leylanie said: “A lot of people say that we’re too young to be together. And that I’ll be a teen mum.”
Yajaira revealed that she found out about her daughter’s relationship when a fake Instagram account contacted her with images of the pair together.
But instead of punishing her daughter, the mum decided to respect her freedom and allow them to date, but not without keeping an eye on them.
Leylanie says her mum does let Jonathan stay over, but the pair have to sleep in separate rooms.

If they do hang out in her bedroom, the door must be left open at all times.
The mum also makes sure that her daughter is focusing on school and only lets them hang out if she has good grades.
And that’s not all, the mum even accompanies her daughter and her boyfriend to their dates to make sure no funny business goes on.
But despite keeping an extremely close eye on the teens, she is still slammed online for setting her daughter up for ‘failure’.
She says: “People are telling me I’m setting up my daughter to be a teen mum.”
Yajaira was initially upset her daughter was in a relationship, but over the months was impressed with how nice Jonathan was.
It led the mum to post the teen couple on social media and share snippets of their relationship as she thought it was ‘cute’.
Both Leylanie and Jonathan agree that the mum’s boundaries work well for them and they appreciate her looking out for them.
Jonathan added: “I like that Yajaira is always with us and she takes care of us and keeps an eye on us and makes sure we’re okay.”
The clip went viral on YouTube with over 300k views and people were quick to share their thoughts.
One person wrote: “I mean, yeah they are very young. But, at least there’s a mum who cares and is keeping an eye on these kids! We need more of that real parenting back ASAP!!!”

The under-18 conception rate has decreased considerably since 2007, reports Nuffield Trust.
Between 2007 and 2021, the under-18 conception rate in England and Wales decreased by 68%, from 42 per 1,000 women to 13 per 1,000 women.
This resulted in 13,131 under-18 conceptions in England and Wales in 2021.
