Woman ‘assaulted’ and ‘sexually harassed’ on train before good Samaritan intervened as cops release CCTV

A WOMAN has allegedly been threatened, assaulted and sexually harassed on board a busy train.

A man threatened to punch the woman after he sat next to her on the train on Wednesday, December 3.

As the woman attempted to escape the man reportedly proceeded to block her path.

It wasn’t until bystander stepped in and confronted the man that he gave up and allow the woman to pass.

Cops have now released a CCTV image of a man they think could help their investigation into the terrifying incident.

The British Transport Police said: “Anyone who recognises them is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 778 of 3 December.
