Man in his 30s stabbed inside McDonald’s just yards from beach in popular UK seaside town

A MAN has been stabbed in a seaside town McDonald’s with a huge emergency response racing to the scene just yards from the beach.

Lancashire Police said they were called reports of an assault at McDonald’s on the Promenade, Blackpool, yesterday.

When emergency crews got to the scene they discovered a man suffering from a stab wound to the leg.

He was rushed to hospital to receive treatment for the knife injury.

An inquiry was immediately launched with cops arresting a man shortly later.

Officers said they arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of Section 18 wounding in relation to the incident.

He remains in custody for questioning.

A force spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.24pm yesterday (1st December) to McDonalds, Promenade, Blackpool, to a report of assault.

“Our officers attended and found that a man in his 30s had suffered a stab wound to his leg. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

“A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of Section 18 wounding and is currently in custody.”
