A LOVE Island star has become a dad for the first time after his girlfriend was rushed to hospital for an emergency C-section before they welcomed their bundle of joy.
Jonny Mitchell has revealed he and his partner Simone Engelhardt have welcomed their first child.
“Welcome to the world, my boy,” he penned in the caption alongside a series of sweet snaps.
He then spoke of the “crazy journey” which saw Simone rushed to hospital for an emergency C-section.
“What a crazy journey this past week has been.. we planned for a nice smooth home birth, but of course life had some curveballs in store for us,” Johnny wrote.
He continued: “Days of stress, pain and sleepless nights, complications came up and then eventually we were rushed to the hospital for an emergency C-section.

“With all the complications, stress, lack of sleep, and seeing someone you love suffering, my brain was racing to all kinds of possible outcomes, mostly not good.
“So I’m beyond grateful everything worked out.”
He then praised his partner, writing: “What a woman @engelhardtlund is.
“Going through 4 days of labour, in and out of extreme pain, undergoing surgery to get our boy here, and even now she’s making it all look easy like the Viking she is.
“Everything’s only now just starting to sink in and feel real!”
He concluded by saying: “Time for the next chapter.”
