ANGRY Ginge gave I’m a Celeb viewers a rare glimpse behind the banter and bravado last night when the homesick streamer broke down in tears over missing his family.
He risked being ribbed by his mates back home when his emotions spilled out on last night’s show – and it’s all because of his beloved mum Michelle.
Ginge, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, was brought up in a single-parent family after becoming estranged from his dad.
The 25-year-old disowned his father who allegedly dodged child maintenance payments and created an unstable childhood for the YouTuber.
So after finding fame and fortune in his early 20s, Ginge set his heart on changing his mum’s life.
A source told The Sun: “He might act like one of the lads but Ginge is a mummy’s boy at heart.

“He puts her first and foremost in his life and feels he wants to repay her for all she sacrificed for him.
“His childhood was rocky and they didn’t have much. For Ginge, being on I’m a Celeb provides the opportunity to give his mum everything she could ever want. He’s doing it for her.”
For Christmas in 2023, Ginge surprised his mum with a briefcase filled with £10,000 which he won from doing a YouTube video series where online creators compete in football-based challenges.
He told fans at the time: “I won it and I’ve kept the prize money to give to mum on Christmas.

“As you know I don’t have a dad so I don’t have to get anything for his side of the family, which is a blessing in disguise.
“It means I don’t get the double Christmas anymore, but it also means I don’t have to buy them anything so it’s a win-win in my eyes.”
Fans were concerned for Ginge last night when he had an emotional meltdown in the Bush Telegraph and turned to his family photo for comfort.
He then revealed why he was feeling emotional, as he opened up in the bush telegraph.
The star said: “It’s a bit of a sh*t day really, I just feel as though I’m missing home, missing speaking to my family, food and drink as well is a massive part but they say you have up days and down days.”
He got choked up as he put his head in his hands and said: “I’m holding it in. I suppose it’s just one of my down days.”
The star broke down in tears for a second time later on in the episode, as he shared his sadness over not being able to text his mum.
“It’s just a long time to be away really,” he said.
“On the outside I have the option to just text my mum or whoever I want. Don’t get me wrong I know I’m going to see her in however many days, it’s just tough.”
