DRIVERS are facing 30 minute delays after a car fire on the M1 has caused rush hour delays.
The blaze broke out between Junction 37 and Junction 38 and has caused delays near Barnsley and Huddersfield.
Two lanes are currently closed on the M1 northbound with emergency services at the scene.
Motorists are facing queues of up to 30 minutes on approach, say National Highways.
They said on social media: “2 lanes (of three) are closed on the M1 northbound near Barnsley between J37, Dodworth and J38, Darton due to a vehicle fire.
“South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are working at scene with our Traffic Officers providing traffic management.
“Delays of up to 30 minutes reported on approach.”
