STRANGER Things star Millie Bobby Brown could help send Abba racing back up the charts thanks to the final series of the supernatural drama.
The Sun can reveal the hit Netflix sci-fi horror drama has splashed out for a licence to use the Swedish group’s 1976 UK chart-topper Fernando in a key scene.
While the exact details are under wraps, it is believed the track could feature as the show’s heroes battle inter-dimensional monsters.
It follows the success of Kate Bush’s classic Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) featuring in the last series three years ago.
A source said: “Netflix bosses are really keen to flex their muscles and show the power they hold in the music industry.
“They hope to recreate the success of Running Up That Hill with Abba’s Fernando.

“They expect within days of the series dropping on November 26 that Fernando will be all over social media and the charts.”
Brit Millie, 21, plays lead character Eleven in the 1980s-set series.
She posted a series of pictures on Instagram from Stranger Things’ New York premiere, with Fernando as the soundtrack.
Co-stars Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton have also posted content featuring the track.
Kate’s 1985 hit Running Up That Hill was used as a major plot device in the fourth series.
Listening to it helped ground Sadie Sink’s character Max Mayfield in reality to protect her from murderous psychic Vecna.
Its use on Stranger Things meant it went to No1 in Britain and made Kate, aged 63 at the time, the oldest woman to top the UK singles chart.
She also became the female artist with the longest gap between No1 singles.
Her last chart-topper before 2022 was Wuthering Heights in 1978.
Series five of Stranger Things will comprise eight episodes, which will be released in three parts.
Volume one will be available from Wednesday, with volume two released on Christmas Day.
The finale will be available to stream on New Year’s Eve.
