Bradley Cooper‘s Is This Thing On? is coming!
The movie is inspired by the life of British comedian John Bishop, and is set to premiere at the 2025 New York Film Festival during the closing night on October 10 at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall.
The cast includes Will Arnett, Christine Ebersole, Ciarán Hinds, Peyton Manning, Amy Sedaris, Laura Dern, Andra Day and Sean Hayes.

The movie, directed by Bradley, “centers on the aftermath of the break-up of a married couple who are raising two kids. Alex (Arnett) takes a wild career pivot to become a stand-up comedian in New York City’s West Village,” per Variety.
Bradley and Will co-wrote the movie with Mark Chappell, and Bradley also serves as producer.
“We are honored and humbled to premiere our film at the New York Film Festival. Earlier this year, we had the wonderful opportunity to shoot this story all throughout the city, so it’s very exciting to debut it on the closing evening of the festival. NYC injects an energy into every aspect of filmmaking that just can’t be replicated,” Bradley said in a statement.
