FOOTBALL fans will have to tune into a new TV channel to get their Champions League fix.
TNT Sports has lost the rights to air Champions League football from 2027.

The major broadcaster has aired the iconic competition since 2013, when it was formerly known as BT Sport.
And 14 years on from when they secured a whopping £897million deal to snatch the rights from Sky Sports, TNT will no longer be able to broadcast Champions League action.
But fans want to know where they’ll have to tune in to see the biggest clubs in Europe go at it.

TNT Sports lose Champions League rights as new channel set to take over
The American-owned platform is embarking on a new investment strategy in sports, having recently purchased the rights to show UFC fights.
The company owns CBS Sports, which currently airs the rights to the competition in the United States – fronted by Kate Abdo, Micah Richards, Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher.
Paramount’s swoop is said to have taken their rivals by surprise, with DAZN previously expected to be the frontrunner in the auction.
It has been widely reported that the company was seen as a “knockout” and that it had spent “a very large premium” to succeed TNT Sports.

And the current batch of Champions League rights are worth approximately £3billion a year.
