What happened in Spooky in Love so far? A quick recap
Spooky in Love starts with a mysterious figure digging in a forest at night. Prosecutor Ma Gang-wook arrives to investigate a murder and is surprised to find Cheon Yeo-ri, the CEO of Reina Hotel, at the scene.
The two struggle over a buried mobile phone and even discover a victim’s hand before the police arrive and mistakenly assume they are a couple. Then we learn that Yeo-ri has a secret ability to see and communicate with ghosts, especially the spirits of people who died unfairly.
She helps them resolve their unfinished business so they can move on. However, if she touches another person, they inherit her supernatural ability, so she avoids physical contact by always wearing gloves and keeping everyone at a distance.
Gang-wook is a determined prosecutor who is deeply afraid of ghosts. After losing an important case, he meets Yeo-ri again while she’s busy chasing a man linked to a crash. She receives guidance from a ghost and Yeo-ri leads him to another murder victim, making Gang-wook question how she always seems to appear at crime scenes.
Gang-wook then traces her and finds Yeo-ri in her hotel. This way, they come face to face, setting up an unusual partnership.
