Declan Rice became an instant sensation following England’s victory against France in the 2026 FIFA World Cup when he scored the first goal for his team after three minutes into the game. Declan Rice and Lauren Fryer, both 27, are childhood sweethearts and have been together since they were both 17 years old. Per a British Vogue article, the couple met while attending school in their hometown and have remained together throughout his rise to football stardom.
Lauren Fryer has been seen supporting him from the stands on various occasions, including at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. They were also spotted celebrating the 2025 to 2026 success of Arsenal as a team.
Over the years, the couple has made several public appearances together, including trips to Ibiza and an Oasis concert in 2021.
Declan Rice and Lauren Fryer share one child, a son named Jude, who was born on Aug. 7, 2022. The footballer appeared to confirm his son’s birth date by revealing a tattoo featuring Jude’s name and date of birth shortly after he was born.

In a statement at the time, Declan Rice said in a press conference:
“She is the love of my life, and I don’t need an upgrade.”
Further, the Premier League star once showed a glimpse into his relationship as he traded jokes with friend and fellow footballer Mason Mount, wherein they noted how Lauren Fryer was concerned about their closeness.
“My missus is quite worried. I’m genuinely being serious. She’s quite worried. Oh, she’s just always, ‘You two… you love him more than you love me.’ Honestly. We just get it in the neck all the time. But they need to understand the friendship.”
Meanwhile, Dani Dyer, who is married to former England player Jarrod Bowen, previously commented on the trolls targeting Fryer:
“It was so hard for her, the trolling, as she doesn’t put herself out there. I think it’s harder when you are not in [the celebrity world], and you are being personally attacked. I found that hard. She is a really good mum, who keeps to herself. No one deserves to be criticised like that.”
The Love Island winner continued:
“It was so cruel. We didn’t speak about it a lot. What we did talk about is how she is so nice and so great and looks absolutely gorgeous. Plus, she’s Dec’s childhood sweetheart, and you can see how much he adores her.”
