Candace Owens discussed Erika Kirk’s memorial speech during her recent appearance on Shawn Ryan’s podcast. The political commentator, who has been critical of Charlie Kirk’s widow since his death last year, said that Erika’s speech lacked ‘humanity.’ She even compared her speech with that of Vanessa Bryant after her husband Kobe Bryant passed away in January 2020.
On July 2, Shawn Ryan released his four hour long podcast on YouTube where Candace Owens claimed that Erika Kirk said nothing about her late husband. She emphasized how Charlie’s wife only talked about Turning Point 2.0 in her memorial speech. For those unknown, Turning Point USA’s founder, Charlie Kirk, was killed during an event at UVU on September 10 last year.
“Certain things that I now see with very clear eyes like her speech like you said at the memorial Erika actually doesn’t really tell you anything about Charlie in that speech it’s a speech that’s laying the groundwork for turning point 2.0,” Candace Owens said.
The former Daily Wire also added that Erika didn’t write her own speech. She also added that her speech had ‘no’ substance.
“No, she tells you every time she speaks about Charlie, she actually tells you about how great she is, how much he loved her, how he wrote her notes, how he wanted her to take over Turning Point USA. And she didn’t write a speech.” Owens added.
Further, Candace Owens went on to compare Erika and Vanessa’s memorial speeches. She said that she watched Vanessa’s speech and expressed how she talked about Kobe Bryant and how ‘amazing’ he was. About Erika’s eulogy, Owens commented that it appeared to ask TPUSA followers for support and provided only limited information about Charlie, which is already on Wikipedia. Candace Owens said:
“But (Erika) her whole idea, this is what he wanted. He wanted your money to go to Turning Point USA. And then you can contrast it with um Vanessa’s speech, Vanessa Bryant’s speech, and you see what a grieving widow looks like. And you listen to the story she told. I I rewatched her speech and I couldn’t get through it cuz I I loved Kobe. I loved Kobe Bryant and I loved Kobe. Kobe on the court.”
According to Owens, Vanessa’s eulogy highlighted how Kobe was at home and as a father. Erika Kirk’s speech, on the other hand, had ‘no’ humanity.
“I loved Kobe who he was in the court this is her husband and she knew Kobe and she shared that with us in her eulogy of Vanessa Bryant like who he was as a father who he was what he like who he was at home and you you realize there’s no humanity in Erika’s speech” Candace expressed.
Candace Owens also mentioned Nick Fuentes’ speech on Shawn Ryan’s podcast
Elsewhere, Candace even drew comparisons between Nick Fuentes and Erika’s speeches. She said that Nick gave a more ‘impassioned’ speech for Charlie Kirk than his wife.
Since Charlie Kirk was killed at UVU in September of last year, Candace Owens is said to have been looking into his murder. Elsewhere, Candace stated that she was the first to notice that so many individuals were wearing similar-colored shirts on the day of the murder. She added that men who appeared to be alone wore maroon shirts, suggesting a planned action. She even called those men “organization.”
She likened them to military men, who supposedly use comparable strategies during operations. Candace said:
“Like they’re wearing maroon shirts to identify each other. And lo and behold, I then learned that um from military men that when they do operations” Candace added.
She remembered that one of the boys gave their maroon shirt to someone else after Charlie was shot at UVU.
