UFO researcher Dr. Steven Greer has issued a 4-page letter on June 29 to President Trump, intelligence officials, senior government leaders, and members of Congress about an urgent matter related to The Disclosure Project. The letter is available on Greer’s official website – drstevengreer.com.
Greer warns that the project will collect and release hard proof of UFOs, covert illegal operations, and reverse engineering programs if the government does not respond within 60 days by August 29. The project believes the public and lawmakers must know the truth about hidden UFO and UAP programs and illegal operations.
The project has spoken with more than 800 whistleblowers for 35 years. Their testimonies describe secret operations run outside the law. These activities include theft of funds, treason, murder, kidnappings, and human trafficking. The letter stated:
“In order to protect the Constitutional government of the United States this information must be disclosed to the public fully and truthfully, including the existence of man-made UAPs …. These man-made craft have been and are being used in a wide range of … criminal operations including drug running, human trafficking, arms trade and other criminal behavior.”
Government and corporate groups have carried out these actions without approval. They have bypassed national security rules and blocked access even for Congress, intelligence leaders, and senior officials.

Dr. Steven Greer opens up about the planned release of UAP/UFO evidence
Dr. Steven Greer mentioned in his letter, available on his website, that certain hidden operatives of the program’s research and technology within the U.S. government and private contractors are fully illegal. The documents indicate that these programs lose all protection under national security law due to their unconstitutional nature. They cannot legally use the National Security Act to hide evidence, documents, or materials.
The document outlines a consistent pattern of obstruction faced by top government and military officials when attempting to access the programs. In the executive branch, it notes that in December 1993, the CIA director under President Bill Clinton allegedly confirmed that neither he nor the President had clearance to access the documents.
Within Congress, Dan Burton from the Oversight Committee and Richard Bryan from the Senate Intelligence Committee reported similar refusals. Military intelligence leaders, including DIA Director General Patrick Hughes and Admiral Tom Wilson, faced not only obstruction but also alleged threats when they sought information.
The document concludes that this deliberate blocking and intimidation of senior officials shows that these programs operate outside legal and constitutional boundaries. It further reads:
“Since neither the Congress nor the Office of the President nor the Pentagon have to date released any substantive evidence, and instead have made a mockery of disclosure ……..we feel we must proceed with this plan unilaterally in the interest of the Nation.”
Greer’s letter sets a deadline and warns the government about going public
The letter tied to the evidence asks the U.S. government to give a written reply by August 29, 2026. It also warns that any opposite statement will be challenged.
The letter further states that human-made Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs) built from reverse-engineered alien vehicles have been used in drug smuggling, human trafficking, and the illegal arms trade. It also mentions contact with secret agents who claim to hold proof of alien crafts and alien bodies.
Greer also recommends that governments and institutions worldwide should release hard evidence about UFOs to increase transparency and establish oversight mechanisms. He further emphasizes international cooperation to keep in touch with other countries to act if the U.S. fails to disclose.
