Alicia Brown, wife of longtime Atlanta radio and television personality Darian ‘Big Tigger’ Morgan, has issued a statement through her legal and public relations team following a federal defamation lawsuit filed against her by V-103 co-host Francesca Amiker. The suit, filed in late June in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, alleges that Brown made false claims on social media suggesting Amiker was romantically involved with Morgan and connecting her to injuries Brown had documented online.
Brown’s representatives declined to address the specific allegations directly, citing legal guidance to remain measured while multiple related matters are still active. They did indicate confidence that evidence, including messages and other documentation, would ultimately clarify the situation once the legal process runs its course.
The backdrop to the dispute
The lawsuit follows Morgan’s arrest last month on charges including aggravated battery and cruelty to children, stemming from a domestic incident in early May. According to an arrest warrant, an argument between the couple escalated into a physical altercation that left Brown with a facial injury requiring stitches. The couple’s teenage son was reportedly present in the home at the time.
Morgan has publicly denied wrongdoing and described his relationship with Amiker as strictly professional in a statement posted to social media last month, apologizing to her for the attention the situation had brought.
A focus on family amid the legal fight
Brown’s team emphasized that her priority throughout the situation has been protecting her family, particularly her children, who they say have been affected by the public nature of the dispute. The statement also touched on the broader issue of domestic violence, arguing that no disagreement justifies physical harm and suggesting that institutions should hold individuals accountable when their actions contradict stated values.
Representatives asked for patience from the public while the legal process continues, saying Brown intends to speak more fully once she and her legal team determine it’s appropriate to do so.
What comes next
Amiker’s lawsuit seeks damages for defamation along with attorney’s fees and punitive damages, and requests a jury trial. The case landed in federal court because the two parties reside in different states and the alleged damages exceed the required threshold.
With both sides now on record and Morgan’s criminal case still pending, the story appears far from resolved. Any further developments, whether through court filings or additional public statements, are likely to keep drawing scrutiny given the public profiles involved.
