Kitty Mia Diaz is currently facing charges of allegedly covering up the evidence of the murder, according to the police documents. The police documents note that the police were called to the hospital on June 25 after they learned about the stabbing incident.
The attacks were so brutal that the doctors had sent Caroline Pena to the hospital, hoping that she could get proper treatment for her wounds and recover. However, as her wounds were fatal, especially the stab in her stomach, which caused the puncture of her lungs, she died within hours of arriving at the hospital. Through the doorbell camera of the Del Rio house, where Caroline Pena was stabbed.
The police also noted that after they received the information about the case, she reached the location and spoke to Kyandra Renne Faz. The police documents further reveal the claims that Faz made about the attack. In the police document, Faz notes that Caroline Pena was “looking to start a fight”. As everything was recorded in the doorbell camera, the police also noted that, through the video, they found out that, soon after Caroline Pena showed up at the house, a black Chrysler also showed up at the house.
Sisters Cookie and Kitty Diaz arrive in that car. Cookie, whose first name is Amaya, is seen “with an object believed to be a knife” on her right hand. The altercation furthered with Amaya and Caroline, which eventually led to Amaya, aka Cookie, stabbing Caroline in the back. Both Kyandra and Kitty Diaz were allegedly seen assaulting Caroline after the incident, as can be seen in the doorbell camera video, according to the police report.
As the police were able to do the investigation quickly, they soon reached the house of the sisters, where Cookie’s car was also parked. According to the police report, both sisters had allegedly changed their outfits and also showered as their hair was wet. Besides the charges of murder, Kitty Diaz is also facing the charge of tampering with evidence, according to reports.
A video is also circulating of Diaz’s arrest, where she can be seen smiling. Kyandra Faz, Kitty, and Cookie Diaz are being locked up in a local jail and are also being held on $5 million bonds. Though details of the motive for the crime are yet to be unveiled, the police reports note that they knew each other. After the incident, Caroline was taken to the hospital by her nephew.
