Born Again Season 3 cast teases MCU’s biggest street level reunion

Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 will premiere next year in March on Disney+ with returning MCU stars, Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. Filming in New York has turned the upcoming season into a large live-action reunion of the original Netflix street-level heroes.

The fallout of ‘The Southern Cross’, the Season 2 finale, set the stage for the massive Defenders reunion in the next season. Season 3 is expected to open with Matt locked inside prison, with his mask lost and his identity exposed. He must depend solely on his sharp senses and fighting skills to stay alive.

Since Matt is imprisoned, the other street-level heroes must take charge. Jessica Jones, who fought beside him in the last season, will join Luke Cage and Danny Rand. Together, they have to stand united and defend the city while Matt remains out of action.

Leaked photos from the shooting of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 revealed Mike Colter stepping into the role of Luke Cage and Finn Jones in the role of Iron Fist. Along with Colter and Jones, Krysten Ritter will step back into her black leather jacket as Jessica Jones. It will be the first time in Daredevil’s history where the full Defenders team reunites in a single series.

The biggest surprise of production came with Elodie Yung’s return as Elektra Natchios. This is her first time playing the character in ten years, following her final appearance in The Defenders in 2017. Fans leaked photos showing her in a new black-and-red ninja suit designed to closely match the comic book version.

The stunt director opens up about the next season’s storyline

The stunt and action director, Philip Silvera, said that fans will be very surprised by the scale of the next chapter. The first two chapters focused on Matt’s legal struggles and his fight against Wilson Fisk. Silvera also said:

“The goal is to do a feature film on a TV timeframe.”

Silvera also explained that the new team takes strong influence from the Devil’s Reign comic run. He pointed to standout moments such as Daredevil wrapping his baton around Kingpin’s head.

On the subject of fighting styles, Silvera described Kingpin’s attacks as driven by raw emotional rage that produced heavy and brutal strikes. In contrast, Daredevil relies on disciplined martial arts, marked by precision and control.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 shifts direction and builds towards a full street war. Rumors suggest that The Hand will emerge as the main enemy and push the Defenders to reunite.
