The Boys signs off with a hilarious final-season blooper reel

The Boys ended its five-season run last month as the season 5 finale, “Blood and Bone,” streamed on Prime Video on May 20, 2026. A month later, this Saturday, the makers of the series surprised everyone by posting a blooper reel. In that blooper reel, we see the cast and crew filming various scenes on the set before they managed to shoot and act out the scenes in the final form.

This new post gave viewers a peek into different scenes of the final season, which continues to be discussed even a month after its release. It also serves as a goodbye to the popular dark superhero satire, which entertained fans around the world since 2019.

The Boys blooper reel serves as a farewell to the hit Prime Video series

The official social media account for Prime Video continued to post behind-the-scenes footage and images that the crew filmed ever since the series’ inception in 2018. The most recent The Boys blooper reel is focused on the cast filming the final season last year.

The blooper reel begins with Jack Quaid and Erin Moriarty filming the closing moments of the season 5 finale inside Hughie’s new store. We see the two struggling with the challenges presented by a ginger ale on the set. This moment then sets the tone for a peppy and cheery behind-the-scenes footage in which we see the cast fumble their lines.

All in all, it is a typical blooper reel of a movie or show, in which we see the actors having a good time on the set. Moreover, the caption hints that we may get more of these reels.

What’s next for the franchise?

The franchise is not going anywhere, even after the season 5 finale and Gen V‘s cancellation. There is Vought Rising, a prequel series releasing next year, headlined by Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy/Ben and Aya Cash’s Clara Vought/Liberty/Stormfront. The official logline for the prequel series reads:

“Vought Rising takes viewers back to the 1950s to uncover how Vought International became the powerful corporation fans know from The Boys.”

Apart from Vought Rising, there is another spin-off called The Boys: Mexico. But not much is known about the series except that Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna are producing and starring in it as well. Other than these two spin-offs, we don’t know if there are any more spin-offs or not. However, we may learn more in the coming months as more details about Vought Rising are revealed.

“When Hughie (Jack Quaid, The Hunger Games) suffers a devastating loss at the hands of a reckless Supe, his devastation turns to outrage when he discovers there is no legal recourse for victims of collateral superhero damage. While still reeling from his trauma Hughie meets a mysterious operative, Billy Butcher (Karl Urban, Star Trek), who recruits him to join in his pursuit of some vigilante justice against the Supes—who are not exactly what they seem.”
