King Charles III is reportedly preparing for a highly anticipated meeting with his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, who will be visiting the UK following Prince Harry’s visit.
According to reports, arrangements have been made for the monarch to spend time with the children when the Duke of Sussex returns to Britain next month. It is expected to be an important event in the royal family as Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, haven’t visited the UK for several years.
US Sun insiders also claim there is an understanding in place for the King and his grandchildren to meet during the trip.
The reported reunion comes amid ongoing efforts to ease tensions between King Charles III and his younger son following years of public family disagreements.
The outlet also reported that the King is excited to meet his grandchildren once again and has done several things to make sure that the visit takes place. One of the steps taken includes inviting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to stay in a royal mansion while visiting Britain.
Whether the Duchess will join her husband and the kids in this visit remains to be unconfirmed. Despite the fact that things are apparently falling in place concerning the family vacation, nothing has been established yet.

Security has long been a major issue surrounding Prince Harry’s visits to the UK. The Sun‘s report suggests arrangements have been addressed, possibly removing a key obstacle that has complicated previous travel plans.
Relations between Harry and members of the royal family continue to be tense ever since he and his wife withdrew from their royal duties and moved to the U.S.
Nevertheless, there are indications recently that some positive communication has taken place between the two parties.
Neither Buckingham Palace nor representatives for Harry and Meghan have publicly commented on the latest reports.
Meghan Markle’s wedding tiara drama explained: Prince Harry’s clash with the Queen’s staff
The reunion reports come just a few months after journalist Robert Hardman detailed in his book, Elizabeth II, the tensions between Prince Harry and the Queen’s dresser, Andrea Kelly, regarding Meghan Markle’s choice of tiara for the wedding.
The Duchess was said to have been initially interested in the Spencer tiara, which belonged to the late Princess Diana.
This was reportedly due to the security issue involving the staff, who wouldn’t release the Spencer tiara unless in the presence of a police escort. But when Prince Harry complied, Angela Kelly reportedly responded to him:
“Can’t be done.”
The account also coincides with the Duke’s own memoir, Spare, released in 2023, where he recalled asking his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, for help.
“I considered going to Granny, but that would probably mean sparking an all-out confrontation, and I wasn’t quite sure with whom Granny would side. Also, to my mind, Angela was a troublemaker, and I didn’t need her as an enemy.”

When the tiara was finally released, it came alongside a form, to which Harry willingly signed, but not without a comment on Kelly’s behavior.
“It would’ve made our lives so much easier to have had it sooner … Her eyes were fire. She started having a go at me. ‘Angela, you really want to do this now? Really? Now? She fixed me with a look that made me shiver. I could read in her face a clear warning. ‘This isn’t over.'”
Hardman said that the Duchess wasn’t present when the confrontation occurred. Andrea Kelly also argued that she was just doing her job and that it was her way to protect the Duke.
In the end, on her wedding to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle wore the Queen Mary Diamond Bandeau, which was designed in 1932 for Queen Mary. It was bequeathed by Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.
