Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35 is finally here, and this installment took a short break from action. Rather, the narrative was focused on shifting the story from Mamushi to everyone getting ready to face other villains. We were also introduced to several developments in the narrative that have strong potential to shape the future of this series.
From Amado coming up with a new way to cleverly take control over Kawaki to Boruto coming up with a new mission, which involves taking Sarada’s help, the latest installment has laid the groundwork. However, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35 also introduced a shocking betrayal that involved Kashin Koji. One major highlight of this chapter is how Amado and Kawaki have been working with each other.

Turns out the scientist revealed that he has come up with a new system that allows Kawaki to regulate his combat abilities. Till now, his output was set to be at 85% offense and 15% defence. That is when Amado showed that he can instantly change the values that would shift Kawaki’s power depending on any situation. Moreover, it is also explained that this new system can be used to maximise efficiency.
Whenever Kawaki ends up being in a situation where he has to battle, he can focus on either offense or defence whenever necessary. At first glance, this upgrade shown in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35 might seem like a good thing. But if we take a deeper look, it has a major drawback. Amado is the only one who has control over this system.
It means that he could end up taking leverage over Kawaki anytime he deseries. And looking at Amado’s history of maintaining secrecy and relying on manipulation, this new reveal is going to raise concerns about how the new technology is going to be used in the near future. This chapter will once again make readers question Amado’s motivation because there are always going to be consequences.
Boruto places his faith in Sarada in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35

The focus shifts to Boruto and Sarada having a conversation. In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35, the duo has an emotional conversation, but it shifts to them discussiing about new plan that involves taking over Code. He believes that Code might have set his eye on Sarada to capture her. But Boruto does not want to run away from this situation; he wants to use this opportunity and gain an upper hand.
That is when he asks Sarada to act as bait to draw Code out. She is willing to support the mission, and that is when he gives her a Flying Raijin marker. When she would be kidnapped and taken to the enemy’s location, Sarada should discard one of the markers, and Boruto would teleport to wherever she is.
It is a risky move, but this moment in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35 shows how much Boruto trusts Sarada. He is treating her as an equal, which means he is sure that she is capable of handling a dangerous mission.
Amado cunningly tricks Kashin Koji

Another highlight of this chapter is how Amado gave a set of data to Inojin and asked him to deliver it to Koji. While Koji himself was being cautious, he could not have anticipated that Amado had planned everything. He successfully managed to incapacitate Koji with the help of Kawaki. The chapter ended on this cliffhanger, and we have to wait a little before it is revealed what he has planned to do with Koji.
Final thoughts
While Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35 lacks major battles, it excels as a setup chapter. If all the developments that took place end up being any indication, the manga is preparing for another dramatic turning point where trust, manipulation, and sacrifice could determine the future of the ninja world.
