Corey Feldman speaks out following health scare, Claims medical staff leaked misdiagnosis to media

Corey Feldman, the actor famous for his work in The Goonies and Stand by Me, has made multiple headlines recently, after a mid-air health scare saw him rushed to hospital. As per a report shared by the Daily Mail, the fifty-four-year-old was on a flight from Chicago to Los Angeles on Monday when he started feeling ill, with paramedics meeting him at the gate upon landing. Sources had speculated at the time that Feldman may have been dealing with pancreatitis or gallstones.

His representative later told the Daily Mail that he had food poisoning, and that he is now out of the hospital and doing much better. Corey Feldman who addressed the health scare publicly for the first time, did so via an Instagram post tied to his brand new single, What Am I Here 4?

He revealed in the post that a doctor at the hospital had initially misdiagnosed him with something more serious, a situation which has left Feldman claiming that medical staff leaked that misdiagnosis to the media.

Feldman took to Instagram to set the record straight, writing his post entirely in capitals. He began by reassuring his followers that he was alive and well following the health scare. The actor then got into the details of what he claimed actually went down at the hospital.

He alleged that a doctor had misdiagnosed him based on a preliminary blood test, and that someone on the medical staff had sent that misdiagnosis to the media in real time, a situation which has left Feldman pointing the finger directly at hospital staff for the speculation that circulated about pancreatitis and gallstones.

As per a report shared by the Daily Mail, earlier on Tuesday morning, before the food poisoning diagnosis was confirmed, Feldman’s representative had updated the outlet to say the star was still resting in the hospital while waiting for an MRI. His representative also clarified at the time that doctors had already ruled out gallstones as a possible cause of his sudden illness, though the exact cause remained unknown.

Once the medical mystery was cleared up, his representative shared,

“Corey wants to thank everyone for all of the love and well wishes. He has definitely seen a lot of the messages and really appreciates everything.”

It is still unknown what Corey Feldman ate that may have caused the stomach disturbance.
