Duke Nicholson, the grandson of legendary actor Jack Nicholson, has been engaged to influencer Devon Lee Carlson.
Carlson, the 31-year-old founder of the Wildflower Cases brand and a well-known social media personality shared the news on Instagram on June 17. She posted photos featuring her three-stone engagement ring with a rose gold band. One of the photos in her post is a mirror selfie another is from a walk-in closet with the entrepreneur expressing her excitement.
The couple has been dating for nearly four years since 2022. They were photographed together attending events and film festivals. They have also collaborated on campaigns such as a stylish 1970s-inspired eyewear advertisement.
Carlson’s partner, Duke Nicholson is an upcoming actor and model. The 26-year-old made his major film debut as a creepy carny in Jordan Peele’s hit horror thriller Us. He has expressed his desire to be recognized first as “the actor Duke” rather than as Jack Nicholson’s grandson.

Duke Nicholson’s engagement news with influencer Devon Lee Carlson has sparked interested in his life.
Born in 1999, he has been in the entertainment industry for over a decade. He gained attention after appearing as the cover model of Lana Del Rey’s 2019 hit album Norman F***ing Rockwell!. Speaking about his appearance with the singer, Duke told The Hollywood Reporter:
“Lana is a friend of mine and she called me and said, ‘Hey, we’re doing the album cover tomorrow. You want to be on it?”. I just went with it, I don’t try to analyse things too much.”
Duke developed a passion towards films while attending Wildwood, a private school in West Los Angeles. Initially, his aspiration was to become a director rather than an actor. In a separate interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Duke shared how he decided to be an actor. He said:
“Initially, I wanted to direct — that was my first thing. Then, in film class in high school, people asked me to act in their projects. I did that and was like, “OK, I like this too.” I acted in a couple of music videos, short films, stuff like that, and then got a manager and started auditioning.”
Prior to his appearance in the 2019 Horror/Mystery film Us, he featured in smaller projects. He has also appeared in other projects like The Trainer and In the Hand of Dante. In an interview at the American Film Market, Duke Nicholson stated that he is primarily focused on writing and directing.
He is the son of Jennifer Nicholsan and Mark Norfleet. Jennifer is the eldest child of Jack Nicholson his ex-wife, actress Sandra Knight. She is a fashion designer who owns a boutique in Ojai. Mark is a retired professional surfer. They named their son after Hawaiian surfer Duke Kahanamoku. Duke has an elder brother named Sean Norfleet.
Duke Nicholson and Devon Lee Carlson began dating in the summer of 2022 following Devon’s six-year relationship with musician Jesse Rutherford. Duke is said to have dated Bella Hadid in the past.
Duke and his now-fiancée reportedly met backstage at a Lana Del Rey concert and later reconnected at a party. They sparked dating rumors after spotted cuddling at Devon’s Réalisation Par collaboration launch in Los Angeles. Devon soft-launched their relationship on her Instagram.
The couple, who share the same birthday, August 3, prefer to keep their relationship under wraps. However, Devon keeps sharing updates from her happy moments on social media. Duke is reportedly not on any social media currently.
The pair appeared at the Saint Laurent Womenswear Fall/Winter 2023-2024 show during Paris Fashion Week. Last year, they attended the Venice International Film Festival, including the Cartier Glory to the Filmmaker Award and the red carpet for In the Hand of Dante. In March 2026 they were seen at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Los Angeles.
