Save these 12 PS Plus games before it’s too late

PlayStation Plus subscribers have a ticking clock and a to-do list. Sony has locked in the next wave of games heading out the door, and a few of them are worth a final playthrough before they disappear for good.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed the lineup of PS Plus Extra titles leaving the service in July 2026, with 12 games set to rotate out of the Game Catalog, including the cult psychological thriller Get Even and the popular roguelike Risk of Rain 2.

What’s leaving and when

The full list covers a mix of PS4 and PS5 titles spanning strategy, simulation and indie favorites. Heading out are (1) Bomber Crew, (2) Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, (3) Cursed to Golf, (4) Get Even, (5) Hundred Days: Winemaking Simulator, (6) Infinite Minigolf, (7) Onee Chanbara Origin, (8) Risk of Rain 2, (9) Röki, (10) Source of Madness, (11) Space Crew: Legendary Edition and (12) Tropico 6.

According to listings first spotted on the Japanese and Asian PlayStation Stores, the games are expected to leave by Tuesday, July 21, the same day Sony refreshes the Extra and Premium catalogs with next month’s additions. That gives subscribers a few weeks to finish anything still sitting in their backlog.

Two standouts worth your time

Not every game on a departure list is a must-play, but two here stand out. Get Even is a moody, mind-bending thriller that blends detective work with unsettling psychological twists, and it has built a quiet following among fans of atmospheric storytelling. It is leaving on PS4.

Risk of Rain 2 is the bigger loss for most players. The fast-paced roguelike shooter, playable on both PS5 and PS4, is built for replaying, with chaotic runs that grow tougher the longer you survive. It is the kind of game that is easy to sink dozens of hours into, so anyone curious should jump in before the window closes.

How PS Plus tiers work

For newcomers trying to make sense of what they actually have access to, Sony splits PlayStation Plus into three levels. The entry point is PS Plus Essential, which hands out a rotating set of PS5 and PS4 games each month, though the company has been gradually phasing out its PS4 freebies.

The middle tier, PS Plus Extra, layers a deeper library of PS4 and PS5 titles on top of those monthly picks, and it is the catalog affected by these July changes. At the top sits PS Plus Premium, which adds everything in Extra along with a rotating selection of retro classics drawn from the PS3, PS2, PS1 and PSP eras.

Departures like these are a routine part of the service. Games tend to leave after roughly 12 or 24 months to make room for new arrivals, which means this month’s exits are simply clearing space for whatever Sony lines up next.
