From Season 4 Episode 8 recap: Fatima’s powers have consequences
The episode kicks off with Boyd, Acosta, and Donna hovering around Roger’s dead body. Sophia interrupts their discussion and asks whether the totems worked on the creature. However, she gives away a pivotal hint about what items work on which supernatural beings. For instance, the tailsman works on creatures, and the totems work on the lake’s life-sized dolls and reincarnated beings.
However, Boyd or Donna’s minds are too preoccupied to pay attention to Sophia’s claims. Boyd asks Acosta to burn Roger’s body.
Fatima tells Boyd and Donna that she can control the Smiley creature’s mind. However, the superpower comes with consequences as it creates varicose vein structures on Fatima’s body. Boyd asks Ellis to accompany Fatima to the clinic. Meanwhile, Fatima worries about turning into one of the creatures.
Boyd then checks on Jade’s progress. He asks Jade to come up with a plan that would save them from the creatures. He then heads out to the clinic to check on Fatima’s condition. Jade eventually gets frustrated after he fails to map out the tunnels and find safe exit and entry points.
Out of disappointment, he throws the map, and while cleaning the mess, he remembers that he saw an entry point at the top of the graveyard. Elsewhere, Boyd hallucinates, and he asks Kristi for help. He wants Kristi to give him some medicine that would calm his mind for a while.
Is Fatima’s power a boon or a bane?
In From Season 4, Episode 8, when Kristi checks on Fatima, she initially suggests that the varicose veins on her belly might be due to pregnancy. Fatima worries whether she is turning into one of the monsters.
Kristi tells Fatima that she will be keeping her in the clinic until she fully recovers. Mari’s theory is that Fatima’s new powers are a boon rather than a bane. Fatima agrees with her stance. Meanwhile, Boyd and Kristi maintain a neutral ground.
When Mari and Kristi have an argument about Fatima’s powers, Kristi reveals a shocking truth. She tells Mari that Fatima’s vitals are quite low, which technically means that she is a walking corpse.
Boyd and Jade’s clash in Episode 8 of From Season 4
After Roger’s funeral, Sophia returns to Boyd’s chambers to get her yellow suit. Sara shouts at her for staying back at the Colony House. Sophia apologizes and opens up about her anxieties.
Boyd freaks out when he sees the yellow suit missing from his chambers. Kenny assumes that Boyd had done this himself, but he realises that Boyd is not lying. Jade then shares the alternative route plan to the underground graveyard. He feels the bottle tree is a perfect entry and exit point.
Boyd disagrees as he feels it’s too dangerous. Jade loses his calm, and they have a fallout. Boyd walks to the forest and hallucinates again, and gets disturbing visions.

In From Season 4 Episode 8, Henry continues getting eerie visions of the care facility. Henry asks Bakta to help him with his alcohol addiction. While he helps Bakta in the kitchen, he hears a mini jukebox playing the same tune that he heard before entering Fromville.
His mind drifts away, and he gets a vision of the hospital where he sees his grandson, Sebastian, and Victor. Victor complains that after Miranda gave the wrong drugs to Henry, he cannot distinguish between fiction and reality. Victor says that his school teacher, Eloise, is coming to see Henry.
Henry comes back to reality (Township), and he goes to the hills to clear his thoughts. But his mind drifts away again, and he now finds a nurse who assures him that he will recover, but he needs to do a task. He needs to eliminate the one thing that’s tying him to the Townsville reality, and that might happen to be Victor.

She comes face-to-face with the Man in Yellow. He doesn’t kill her; instead plays with her mind. He creates an illusion that digging up the children’s bones might be catastrophic.
