Taika Waititi is spreading holiday cheer with a brand-new original short for Disney.
The Academy Award-winning director has created A Disney Holiday Short: Best Christmas Ever, starring Disney Legend John Goodman as the voice of Doodle and serves as the centerpiece of Disney’s 2025 holiday campaign, “Make Someone’s Holiday Magic.”

The story centers on a little girl whose doodle comes to life on Christmas Day after Santa mistakes her drawing for a wish. The two form an unlikely friendship in a tale filled with imagination, warmth, and classic Disney magic. The short ends with the uplifting message, “Make Someone’s Holiday Magic.”
