Kanye West prompted a surge of online reactions as videos surfaced of him smiling and greeting fans ahead of his forthcoming concert in Georgia. The rapper’s appearance quickly caught the attention of social media users, with some jokingly reviving long-running celebrity clone conspiracy theories. A user commented:
“Bro’s definitely a clone.”
The viral videos surfaced only days before West’s scheduled performance at Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi, Georgia, one of the country’s largest arenas. The visit comes amid growing public interest in the rapper after a series of cancelled gigs across many European countries.
The clone theory involving Kanye West is not new. In recent years, several social media users have claimed that the rapper’s appearance and demeanor have changed, indicating that he has been replaced with a lookalike.
Kanye West has himself sparked this controversy by rapping about this in one of his freestyles performed with the Sunday Service Choir. He rapped:
“The phony will clone me / Just watch how they cloned me”
The rumor gained traction in 2024, when reality TV actress Kristin Cavallari openly stated that she believed West had been replaced with a clone. Cavallari said:
“I wholeheartedly believe what I’m about to say. I think there are clones, okay? And I think Kanye is a clone.”
Cavallari believed her theory made sense. She added:
“Remember he was really talking a lot, he was really saying too much. The cabal didn’t like that the illuminati, the cabal, they did not like how much he was saying. He was calling a lot of people out. And he said, if I go away and I come back and I look different, that is not me.”
The claim adds to a long line of celebrity replacement conspiracies that have already targeted Avril Lavigne, Paul McCartney, Jim Carrey and Eminem.
However, there is no evidence to support any of these statements. Media experts and major news sites have frequently stated that such theories are generally based on natural changes in look caused by aging, weight fluctuations, styling choices, camera angles, and cosmetic treatments.
The internet reacts to Ye’s clone
As the videos spread, social media was divided between those joking about the clone conspiracy and those who were simply pleased to see the rapper interacting nicely with fans. A user wrote:
“Bro’s definitely a clone. Bring Kanye back!”
More users chimed in; another commented:
“That’s NOT Ye.”
A third asked:
“They cloned Ye ??”
Several other users pointed to changes in the rapper’s appearance, with one commenting:
“He looks different.”
A second added:
“Why is he shining his teeth like that?”
Another user commented:
“We all know that ain’t ye bruh.”
Some users, meanwhile, were more concerned with West’s behavior, as they believe that the conspiracy theory is fake. A user wrote:
“Nice seeing Ye smile again.”
Another user added:
“Looks almost like the Kanye of old, less mad.”
A third user commented on the connection that Kanye West has with his fans:
“Ye out in Tbilisi greeting fans ahead of a show is the kind of moment that reminds you that whatever is happening in the media, the connection between him and the people who love his music never fully breaks.”
Kanye West prepares for Georgia concert
Kanye West’s appearance comes ahead of his performance in Tbilisi, Georgia, at Dinamo Arena, the home stadium of Dinamo Tbilisi, the Georgia national rugby union team and the Georgia national football team.
According to sources, the rapper plans to spend several days in Georgia and perform at the stadium, which can hold tens of thousands of people for large events. The Dinamo Arena is the largest football stadium in all of Georgia, with a capacity of 54,139 for sporting events, and up to 70,000 for concerts.

The event has sparked tremendous local interest, with reports claiming that government leaders will attend. The performance comes after many planned performances in Europe were apparently canceled due to controversy over West’s previous public statements.
Despite the online conjecture about his presence, many fans remained focused on the upcoming show, with some expressing excitement to see the rapper return to a big international stage and perform on a half-rotating sphere.
Kanye West will be performing at the Dinamo Arena on June 12, 2026 in Georgia.
