As soon as the paternity of Portia’s baby was revealed on General Hospital, something seemed off. It was all too simple. Portia’s husband fathered her child and that was that. Yes, they were now divorced, but Portia’s affair didn’t result in a pregnancy — or did it?
Sneaky Stella May Have Made a BIG Mistake

All Stella (Vernee Watson) wanted was another generation of Ashfords and for Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Portia (Brook Kerr) to reunite and raise a child together, which they did not get to do with Trina (Tabyana Ali). Stella has made her stance clear for months, even before the paternity test reveal. Since she has done some sneaky things before, like not bothering to mail Curtis and Jordan’s divorce papers, we wouldn’t put it past her to fiddle with a DNA test.
At first, we thought that Selina Wu (Lydia Look) may have done it to give her old pal Curtis a gift, but we have not seen her since late last year. However, we have seen Stella go on and on about this baby.
The problem is, Stella might now know that switching the paternity test (if she did it) was a very bad idea.
Curtis Needs to Calm Down

After Portia’s baby shower and seeing how out of control her nephew is, Stella might realize that Curtis doesn’t deserve to be a father and Portia doesn’t need him in her life. Curtis hurled accusations, threatened violence more than once, and turned the party into a miserable experience rather than a positive one.
He feels entitled to everything, treats Portia like an incubator, and is a loose cannon. Even Stella is not sure that he should be around a baby.
If Stella did indeed switch those results, will she come clean before the baby is born or after? It would serve Curtis right to know he did not father this child after all, and Stella might realize that sooner rather than later. However, she runs the risk of being alienated from her family if the truth ever comes out.
Stella could have a huge problem on her hands. If she allows a lie to fester, it could hurt Portia and an innocent baby. But if she tells the truth, she may lose her family.
