This unexpected news not only brings them happiness but also sets the path for a chaotic journey, which they begin by reaching the venue on time.
Through the new Green Day movie, Nimrods trailer, viewers are able to get snippets of some of the misadventures that Analog Days are going to go through during their road trip. The storyline of this movie is based on many of the adventures that Green Day went through in their lives before they became a worldwide phenomenon after Dookie.

Green Day member Billie Joe Armstrong, while discussing doing the movie, noted that “ever since the beginning,” he wanted to do a Green Day film because all of his “heroes” have done the same.
Nimrods first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. The cast brings forth an array of talented actors. Mason Thames takes on a crucial role in the movie along with McKenna Grace. Some of the other cast members of the movie are Fred Armisen, Jolene, Jenna Fischer, etc. Billie Joe Armstrong, in a recent interview, notes that Mason Thames did “such a heartfelt job” in the movie.
He also appreciates McKenna Grace’s performance and notes that Mason Thames and McKenna Grace “together” have a distinct “chemistry” in the movie. Some of Mason Thames’ other notable projects that can also be added to your watchlist before the movie releases on August 14 are Black Phone 2, How to Train Your Dragon, Incoming, Monster Summer, etc.

The Green Day members Tre Cool, Billie Joe Armstrong, and Mike Dirnt serve as the producers of Nimords, while Ryan Kroft and Michael Rapino take on the charge as executive producers for the movie. Billie Joe Armstrong also notes the movie is “more of a DIY spirit,” which Green Day had during their early days.
He continues that Green Day played “anywhere and everywhere,” much of which is also incorporated in the movie. The focus for the movie was on “individualism and working outside of the mainstream”.

Lee Kirk is the director of the movie and has also previously worked with Billie Joe Armstrong in Ordinary World, which, despite having a low budget, grabbed the attention of the viewers for its distinct storyline. Armstrong noted that the chemistry that he had with Lee Kirk was “good”; hence, when he decided to make Nimrods, it was “obvious” that Kirk would be a part of it too.
Lee Kirk also noted that he had “fun” writing this movie as he had the “entire catalog of Green Day music.” They brainstormed for the idea of the movie, during which the idea of the “prank,” which becomes the driving factor of the movie, came to their minds. With only a few days left before the movie’s release, the anticipation is at an all-time high for this Green Day comedy movie.
