Disclosure Day is expected to turn out as one of the most successful and talked-about science fiction thrillers of 2026. After all, legendary filmmaker Stevn Speilberg has helmed the director’s chair.
It is an original movie rather than an adaptation of a book, comic, or previous franchise. The film was produced by Universal Pictures and is scheduled to arrive in theaters on June 12, 2026 although special premiere screenings took place earlier in cities such as Paris and London.
The main cast of Disclosure Day includes Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, Wyatt Russell and Colman Domingo. Since the release date is fast approaching, Eve Hewson recently shared interesting details about filming during her interview she gave on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
explained that she was already nervous before filming began. The reason was that she was scheduled to shoot a major scene alongside actor Colin Firth, and she considered it one of the most important filming days of her career.
Things became even more stressful when she learned that Barack Obama would be visiting the set that same day. Obama was not there for a role in the film. Instead, he had come to see director Steven Spielberg, who is a friend of his.

Disclosure Day: Eve Hewson revealed how stressed she was while filming an importat scene

Actress Eve Hewson recently shared that she was already feeling a great deal of pressure before cameras even started rolling on one of the most important scenes in Disclosure Day. Speaking during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actress described the filming day as a particularly significant moment in her career.
Fallon asked Hewson about the diving scene in the film, in which characters can explore someone’s mind like a fish dives into the water. And while talking about crucial sci-fi scenes, she mentioned that there was a scene with Colin Firth and she was “intimidated.” The actress said:
“But we do have this one big scene for my character with Colin Firth, who I was, like, so intimidated to work with. And I was already so intimidated by Spielberg. It was a big, big thing.”
The Disclosure Day star wasn’t perfectly ready for the day as she was already facing the pressure of filming such a huge scene. And then, she got to know that Barack Obama was arriving to watch her act.
Disclosure Day: Barack Obama stayed to watch Eve Hewson’s acting on the set
While talking about the same scene, Eve Hewson revealed that she was surprised and nervous to know that Barack Obama is coming. At first, Hewson spoke with Obama and assumed he would leave before she had to film her scene. However, that did not happen.
According to her, Spielberg later informed her that it was time to shoot and that Obama would remain there to watch. She revealed:
“And then Steven turned to me and he was like, “You’re up, kid.” And I was like, “Uh?” And he goes, “No, we have to go shoot the scene.” And I was like, “But he’s still here.”
Hewson continued:
“And he was like, “Yeah, he’s here to watch you act.” And so I had to do this scene, which is really complicated. But when you see the movie, it’s like crazy that I did this in front of Obama.”
Hewson described it as a complicated scene in Disclosure Day involving heavy emotions, loud screaming, and physically demanding moments. After the scene was finished, Obama reacted in a lighthearted way. Hewson recalled that he jokingly asked where she got her scream from and humorously compared it to the sound someone might make after hurting their toe.
