What is Tyler Mane’s net worth? X-Men actor and retired wrestler’s fortune explored as he reveals breast cancer diagnosis

Canadian actor and retired wrestler Tyler Mane announced his “super rare” breast cancer diagnosis via social media on Monday. He uploaded a 36-second video of himself and captioned it:

“Yep. I have breast cancer. And yep, it’s super rare. Only 1% of breast cancers are men. I’ll be honest, my first reaction was to keep it secret. I mean, it’s kind of embarrassing. But then I found out that men are more likely to be diagnosed in advanced stages BECAUSE it’s not talked about and not looked for. In fact, my doctors all dismissed it and it was only because my wife pushed me to get the lump removed that I got in early.”

Tyler Mane, 59, whose real name is Daryl Karolat, continued:

“So, let’s start talking about it! 1 in 755 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and if caught early, it’s VERY treatable. Time to answer the Wake-Up Call! Like, Save, Share, Comment, let’s spread the word! #malebreastcancer #f**kcancer #rarebird.”

Tyler Mane has an estimated net worth of $2 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. He said in his video:

“I have some bad news. I start chemo today. One in 750 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and I am one of them. Because it’s less talked about, it’s usually found in later stages and has worse outcomes. I want to change that. Follow, like, and share, and come along for my journey to kick this thing in the *ss.”

Mane, best known for his performance in the X-Men franchise, urged his followers to ask ten people to follow him as “people need to hear this.” He ended his video whispering, “F**k cancer,” and showing his middle finger, as he was seen undergoing chemotherapy in a hospital room.

Exploring Tyler Mane’s career earnings

Tyler Mane was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, in December 1966. He made a lot of money from his 11-year-long professional wrestling career, where he represented the Universal Wrestling Federation and the World Championship Wrestling (as Big Sky). In 1994, Mane won the Las Vegas MGM Grand Championship for the UWF.

When the 1983 iconic film Smokey and the Bandit was adapted for a made-for-TV movie, Bandit: Bandit Goes Country, in 1994, Tyler Mane was cast in it, making his acting debut. That same year, he also appeared in the FOX drama Party of Five.

Daryl Karolat was next seen in a wrestling musical comedy at San Diego’s Lyceum Space. He also helped choreograph the stage production. Tyler’s decade-long martial arts training, especially a black belt in karate and a huge physical stature, helped him earn the role of Wolverine’s enemy Sabretooth, aka Victor Creed, in the 2000 Marvel movie, X-Men, and its 2006 sequel, X-Men: The Official Game.

Elsewhere, Tyler Mane continued to earn his fortune by appearing as Ajax in Troy (2004), featuring Brad Pitt, and as slasher villain Michael Myers in Halloween and Halloween II in 2007 and 2009, respectively.

His other small acting credits include David Spade’s 2001 comedy, The Adventures of Joe Dirt, Howard Stern’s series Son of the Beach, and the 2010 movie Gunless, opposite Paul Gross.

Daryl Karolat’s recent works include the 2021 Netflix superhero series Jupiter’s Legacy and reprising his role of Sabretooth on the 2024 MCU movie Deadpool and Wolverine. He was also cast as supervillain Richard Frank, aka Torminox, in the 2022-2023 Max series, Doom Patrol.

Besides acting, wrestling, and martial arts, Mane has also earned money from kickboxing and playing semi-professional football. He also has his own film production company called Mane Entertainment.
