The all-new Lexie needs to pipe down a bit

Days of our Lives’ Lexie resurrection story is not working out the way that the show hoped it would. Fans aren’t happy that a beloved character has been brought back to life for no apparent reason. Couple that with the way the story has been told and Lexie’s new persona and the plot falling flat everywhere. That became more apparent than ever during the June 3, 2026, episode.

Days of our Lives’ Lexie is not quite herself

Lexie’s (Nikki Crawford) animosity toward Paulina (Jackee Harry) was a little surprising, to say the least. We didn’t expect her to embrace her husband’s new wife, but we didn’t expect her to be so cold and disrespectful. Now, she seems to want to erase Paulina’s existence, including the family members she brought to the marriage.

Disregarding Jules and Carver was a low blow that even Abe (James Reynolds) and Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) weren’t going to tolerate. Abe was kind about it, but he reminded Paulina that those children are as much his grandkids as they are Paulina’s. Lexie had to swallow that fact, but the look on her face told us that Abe had not heard the last about this.

But then came the biggest shock, Lexie’s attitude about DiMera that neither Abe nor Theo could get over.

DiMera business was never Lexie’s business

While Lexie loved her parents, she absolutely never wanted her son involved with that lifestyle. But now she suddenly wants him running DiMera Enterprises, which is never really on the up and up because it is Stefano’s (the late Joseph Mascolo) company after all. And when was Stefano ever on the up and up about anything?

Now, she suddenly wants him to be DiMera CEO out of nowhere. Of course, Abe and Theo were going to look at her askance. Did Lexie suddenly discover more of her DiMera side we never knew about before? Maybe EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) will regret his choices.

Again, we have to ask why this resurrection was necessary. It hasn’t enhanced the show much; it’s too unrealistic, and we know it’s only temporary. Maybe if Lexie were actually likable, this could have worked. We just hope the rest of this story does not disappoint.
