Shania Twain made a dramatic entrance at the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards, stepping onto the red carpet in a shimmering silver gown as she prepared to host the ceremony.
Sporting her long, tawny tresses, the country music icon turned heads in her Falguni Shane Peacock strapless floor-length dress on May 17, covered in sequins and metallic detailing.
The gown features an abstract animal-inspired pattern woven into the fabric, while a flowing gray sash adds movement to the look.

The 60-year-old country legend completed the outfit with studded leather gloves and matching pendant jewelry and a coordinating necklace, leaning into a high-glam aesthetic for the evening’s festivities.
Shania Twain shares excitement about hosting the 2026 ACM Awards
The 2026 ACM Awards mark Shania Twain’s first time hosting the ceremony, which also marks 30 years after her first ACM victories.
Such an honorable role is something the From This Moment songstress feels enthusiastic about. Ahead of her emcee stint, she shared with USA Today:
“I’m just naturally energetic. So coffee at all or any kind of caffeine … I got to manage that, which I do. I’m not a caffeine fiend.”

The award-winning country singer also explained why her anticipation of hosting the 2026 ACM Awards is different from a concert.
“I am representing our genre. I am there to represent the talent, to make them feel comfortable. So I think I’m just going to have a really fun time.”
When asked by the outlet if she’s going to jest and jape, Shania Twain admitted:
“I’m not a really great joke teller, but yes, I plan on being a little funny. I like a great sense of humor. Of course I need to be prompted so I don’t ramble on or start getting more interactive than I probably should be for the moment. But I really need to just be myself.”
The You’re Still The One hitmaker was confirmed as the 2026 ACM Awards host in late April. Following the announcement, she issued a statement expressing her excitement.
“I’m thrilled to be hosting the 61st ACM Awards in Las Vegas, a place that feels like home. It’s such an honor to be part of this incredible night celebrating Country Music’s biggest stars, especially with so many talented women leading nominations this year. I can’t wait to welcome all of the fans and artists out for this unforgettable night.”
Shania Twain is set to release her 7th studio album, Little Miss Twain, on July 24. Described as her most introspective work yet, the album honors her childhood and early influences in country, rock, and R&B.
Meanwhile, the 2026 ACM Awards commence on May 17 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. ET, and can be streamed via Prime Video.
