Dead City Season 3 premiere? Full release schedule, what to expect and more

The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3’s teaser was released recently, and it not only gave us a look at this upcoming season but also revealed the premiere date of the upcoming season. As the teaser revealed, Maggie and Negan are going to put aside their differences and try to build the first successful, safe, and secure community in Manhattan since the apocalypse.

However, they are still in the middle of an apocalypse and chaos, and danger will find them regardless. The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 will premiere on AMC in July 2026. Here’s a full release schedule and everything else we know about the upcoming season.

When will The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 release?

The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 will be released on AMC and AMC+ on July 26, 2026. The show will take an interesting path this season, as we’ll see Negan and Maggie finally letting go of their differences and working together with no bad feelings.

As the trailer revealed, Maggie will be trying to build a safe space for Hershel and with people who apparently have weapons and electricity. But to do that, she needs Negan’s help, as she approaches him, saying,

“We need you”

We are finally moving to a part of the show where Maggie and Negan can finally rest for a bit (as indicated so far) and build a safe and fortified community in Manhattan, and protect it. In Season 3, they will also encounter a huge, close-knit family of survivors led by a woman named Renata. This group also reportedly has a dark history with the Croat.

Maggie’s son Hershel, will bond with Renata’s brother, Luis, who happens to be a doctor, and will be a mentor figure to Hershel in the upcoming season. He will thus guide Hershel toward a medical career (much like Hershel’s grandfather). The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 will premiere on AMC and AMC+ on July 26, 2026.
