Absolute Value of Romance Episodes 11-12 were released on May 15. The episodes gave a background of Ji-a and the reason behind her absence from most of the classes. On the other hand, Eui-ju and Go-ya patch things up, and Go-ya discovers a shocking truth about the literature teacher, Dong-ju.
Episodes 11-12 of Absolute Value of Romance start with Eui-ju asking Woo-su whether she will be able to see him in her senior year. As the story progresses, Eui-ju goes to find Ji-a, who once again misses her classes and meets the loan sharks. Woo-su saves the students by paying Ji-a’s debt.
However, the situation becomes out of control when the loan sharks come back again, take Ji-a, and ask her to pay the interest. When Woo-su goes after them to bring Ji-a back, he ends up getting injured. Thanks to Eui-ju, Woo-su’s friends come there on time. Dong-ju fights them, and Eui-ju sees the tattoo on Dong-ju’s arms.
After Eui-ju returns, Go-ya expresses her feelings, and the two finally patch things up. In the end, Go-ya takes a step forward to become successful so that she can take care of Dong-ju, and Eui-ju decides to confess her feelings to Woo-su.
Absolute Value of Romance Episode 11 recap: Woo-su comes to Ji-a’s rescue
Absolute Value of Romance Episode 11 starts with Eui-ju asking Woo-su if she will be able to see him in her senior year after coming to know that he can leave for the States for further research. However, Woo-su asks her to go home instead.
The next day, Eui-ju decides to find Ji-a after she doesn’t attend school. She goes to Ji-a’s place to get more information. After seeing Woo-su there, Eui-ju tells him that she is sick of cleaning to offset her demerits. After a thorough search, Eui-ju finds Ji-a working in the restaurant, and at one point, a customer asks Ji-a to have a drink.
When Eui-ju questions her about the same, Ji-a says that she gets a tip for it. Just then, two men appear and demand money from Ji-a.
Woo-su comes to Ji-a’s rescue and clears her debt. When asked why she didn’t report everything to the police, Ji-a says that another girl also reported the same to the police. But the police raided the shelter, and she had to move out, which is why she decided to keep it to herself.
Absolute Value of Romance Episode 12 recap: Woo-su gets into trouble
In Absolute Value of Romance Episode 12, Jenny comes back from her failed trip and sees Ji-a entering a car. However, she mistakes Ji-a for being rich and shares the news in the group. Eui-ju informs Woo-su about the same, and he runs to save her.
It turns out that the loan sharks changed the interest rates, and because of that, they started demanding more money from Ji-a. After Woo-su arrives there, Ji-a requests him not to pay any more money to them. Woo-su goes by the rules, and he asks them to show the contract. But in return, he gets beaten instead.
Eui-ju decides to get help from Woo-su’s friends, and they rush to save him. Until now, viewers saw Dong-ju as someone who wouldn’t indulge in fights. However, his character completely changes in Absolute Value of Romance Episode 12 as he fights everyone and saves his friend, Woo-su. During the fight, Dong-ju’s shirt tears apart, briefly revealing a dragon-shaped tattoo that he quickly hides under his coat. He even makes the loan sharks apologize in the end.
Eui-ju confesses her feelings for Woo-su to Go-ya
After Go-ya learns about Ji-a’s situation, she tries calling Eui-ju a number of times. When she finds Eui-ju safe, she runs and hugs her, and Eui-ju tells her about having a crush on Woo-su and not the literature teacher. Eui-ju adds that she was hesitant, as previously they had made fun of Woo-su. In response, Go-ya admits that what hurt her the most was feeling like Eui-ju no longer trusted her enough to share her secrets.
After reconciling, Eui-ju also tells Go-ya about Dong-ju’s dragon-shaped tattoo and his fighting skills, joking that he looks like a former gangster. Eui-ju even uses the visuals to continue her novel’s story.
In the end, Go-ya, after coming to know about Dong-ju’s secrets, decides to step up her game and do better in her studies to be successful in life so that she can protect him. She even encourages Eui-ju to tell Woo-su about her feelings. Although Eui-ju finally gathers the courage to approach Woo-su, she freezes at the last moment when she comes face-to-face with him.
